Last June, the 62-year-old American singer Nolan Porter flew into Britain to perform sell-out shows in Warwick and Oldham. Fans who revere Porter's two massive northern soul anthems, and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbKCWBTgTR8, afforded the singer a rapturous welcome. Backed by Birmingham soul outfit the Stone Foundation, Porter was so taken aback by the response, he vowed to return to Britain as quickly as possible. Nolan also performed live at Nuneaton allnighter and Longacers Bilston .. this was also a great success at both Venues . as I was the one who arranged all Nolan's Venues to perform at .. its always nice to see reviews in any uk papers something we don't see often . Nuneaton allnighter was the most packed venue of the his live uk show night , Today, the soul spirit remains. "People see our band and ask, why have you not had more success?" says Neil Sheasby of the Stone Foundation. "But I tell them I've just made an album which Nolan Porter sings two songs on. That to me is success beyond belief." But Stone Foundation will never be Northern soul ... They got some great live performances and a group I've used before in backing and supporting Artist's live ... today the new stuff recording is not Northern soul . I Think of the case they interview the wrong person about the reviews of the scene today ...

There are two Mixes of this ... like Ralph stated original Mix on Motorcity 12 ... but the other mix is Faster which never came out on 12 or 45 .. I Got a carver cut of this mix which this is the mix a few are after . Written by Ronnie McNeir and Obie Benson .. Ronnie also also done a version .. I Played Ronnie the faster mix when he was with me at my house ..but he didn't like it

Spoke to Steve Calloway last night ..he still says it's Mancha , when I'm next over Detroit I do intend to Vist Steve Mancha who is now in a rest home ..but same old story we are talking ... its been nearly 50yrs or so and most of the artist's do forget alot what they have done ... it happend when i put The Elgin's back to come over in 2007 for Northampton .. I told Yvonne the live track list ..when i said " My love for your love " she didn't know it and said it wasn't her ..i said it was only till i played her the track she said my god ..i totally forgot about that recording .

Filmed at warwick soul club Nolan Porter and Stone Foundation part of Nolan's recent tour to Soul venues in June , at the time its all hard work but now i look back and glad i did it . Great Interview with Nolan in this months Scootering .

Replied and explained what Ive been informed by Steve Calloway , yes they never seen a copy of the 45 until steve calloway came over in 2008 and Max showed him his copy although they was often told they got a 45 out . ps We Recorded Did my baby call With Steve Calloway last yr in The studio .

Your right Mate the Original acetate did have " Baby Have Mercy On Me " on it , right found my Interview with CP Spencer and Bill talking about this track , I will have to upload from Tape to cd .. anyone got any ideas ?
