Hi John i remember being in Guys house with Graham Anthony and him saying im sure the producers had a vision of what Wigan would be like 10 years later when they made this. Strangley or not it took ages for the oldies crowd to latch on to it

I bought 2 copies of Shay, Ian Clarks mate around 1988, £150 each he had found them in a record shop in the states think he found 3 or 4 of them

John demo is one of the rarest but it was booted as that so the issue is more desirable

I bought the Orthia Barnes of Pete, Manship sold another about a year later for £1500 mines for sale at the moment

Not sure when i first heard this but think it was Danny Everard who played it c/u i bought one of Mick Smith in 1989 £100 quid i think. first played it at The Top of the stairs soul club the Central cannock the response was fantastic so good in fact i played it at the end as well. one of the best non coloured soul records imo

your right Chalky i can remember going to Guys house in the mid/ late 80's and he was spinning it then as well, i always thought it was a strange one for him to choose cause mostly it was banging up tempo from him

No their not i only saw one song which was on the highlites on BBC2 and the really has soul in him for a white guy
