  1. Agreed-"Love Plays Funny Games" is superior IMO also! Not seen many of these but what I have seen were acetates. A guy called Jim Randle from the Manifesto Soul Club had one in his sales box for it seemed like an eternity. Dunno if he ever sold it though. Not seen him for a long time..
  2. I have to agree-I just caught the last 2 1/2 hours-Not too much chat and he let the music do the talking for the most part..he put Marconie in the shade...Did he finally get Gloria Jones on the phone? I must have dosed (or should that be DOZED) off or summat for a couple of minutes when we got back from Annesley so I didn`t hear....
  3. Mighty piece of vinyl (..just like the weather man....)
  4. A good old friend of mine from way back. Is Nogger still living at Meir in Stoke?
  5. Yeah thanks Boba! This is nice..
  6. Timperley? Just up the road from Altrincham?
  7. Yeah, we`re thinking of booking him for our soul night at Barrow Hill sometime-should be a good laugh-he`s from Lancashire (not Manchuria like Big Kenny said (don`t think he`s from the China area anyway ) -so he should know summat about Northern Soul..The booking order form is HERE
  8. And as that time of year is nearly upon us again...(?) If a re-release of PERRY COMO`S two classic albums (Perry Como Sings Merry Christmas Music (RCA 1957), Perry Como Sings The Songs Of Christmas (RCA 1958) is on the cards- consider this as an additional track, my learned friends and colleagues... Done in the same style and tempo as his classic "LET IT SNOW" (complete with sleigh bells).....His version of The Invitations (and Beach Girls) classic "SKIING IN THE SNOW" ..Imagine it..Think it would work??
