It is from 1970 or very early 1971. Was reviewed in Billboard Magazine in the January 9, 1971 issue.

The red/black variant is seemingly a whole lot rarer, but I can find two copies that have gone through ebay, is one of those yours?:

Just like to trow this image out there with the date 11/2/1974 written on the label !

Is this just someone writing a date when they got it or could it be something about the date of release ?

    or i'm clutching at straws......!

Yet discogs put release circa 1970

Most likely just a case of a different pressing plants done at the time of initial release. Slightly different typesetting on the red/black vs. white/red labels.

    Hi Sebastian

Showed it to a few collectors at our Beer And record  club none had seen a copy & 1 collector as most of the label releases on the label never seen a Red copy of the record

Also no other Front Page releases had a full RED label only this realease !

Posyke eBay's past sales history gives 6 multi colored vinyl stockers and 4 multi colored vinyl promos.

Rare factor ?  I think not so much. Yet again those 'rare' stockers and promos from seller's arguments...

I'm not a specialist in selling or buying prob need a specialist seller buyer to give an input

Agree with numbers on popsike but its not the full story

Gripsweat gives up more DJ copies sold 8/9 copies showing

Came across this by accident on Ebay, i've got the other press which is white & red with a bell sound stamp in the run out

This one has ARP & Bell Sound stamped in the run out

    Your thoughts would  be appreciated

Thanks for your comments on this

We need to concider Multi coloured issues on discogs around 40 sold £75 highest

No Multi coloured  DJ sales & none listed on discogs

White styrene Demo listed highest 10 sold highest £90

Red issue styrene 23 sold Highest £60

So John Manship puts the Multi issue as Rare on You Tube

only 1 multi DJ on You Tube

I think we need to put the Multi DJ copy a bit rarer than you guys & me think

    Thoughts on this please !

Just pulled this of our event for this Friday @FTMNTC

This is wot  to expext his selections to be ......!

I aim to be playing many of my best friends discoveries from when I started djing until the present day. Many records that became massive on the upfront scene spanning over the last 43 years. A period after many of the iconic djs from the 70s had decided that the scene was finished and had consequently left.

I honestly do not care one little bit about playlists or indeed about music on a laptop, memory stick or whatever, O.K, I go to the Soul Do's abroad and accept that the DJ's can't take their precious Vinyl on a plane for a week. I'll put up with that. I'm lucky enough to DJ now and again and I play my original Vinyl on Turnatables watch people  dancing on a Wooden Dance Floor, among friends we have known for years, that's what Soul is about. Always was and always will be. I'll even enjoy Soul on CD machines in a Modern Room because that is what it came out on, it wasn't on vinyl but it has to be in a venue, among friends and having a bloody good dance. Those people that read the floor, change their selections to what people seem to want that night are DJ's in my book.

Just a response to what happens on a dance floor ,cd's,laptops & vinyl

I have taken original vinyl abroad bit of a pain always in hand luggage

The original poster asked  for the best DJ that the UK as produced

We have the top 500 book  where the legends of the soul scene are all listed for the 20th century

Nothing for the 21st century & we are 23years in

For me Best UK DJ is @Pat Bleasdale

There are many more proggresive Djs on the nighters scene who bring something new to the table

    Atb Kev
