  1. strange... my more obvious boot has all this yet my new copy which i was sold as an original and sounds it does not. so i now have two boots it would appear. waht a bluddy ball ache. so would i be right in sayin there is only one definitive issue, blue on blue, and one definitive demo, one sided?

    Yes

I think the Blue label & Black lettering is a reissue is it on Styrene ?

    Demo  White , Black lettering

  2. and theres no variants on that? mine is definitely blue label and black letters yet sound quality is far better than the more obvious boot.. any specific deadwax info? both simply have A-vol 3 scratched in...

    I've just dug out mine

STORM WARNING side markings read A - VOL - 3 LW Virtue all etched in

"BABY" side marking read 1T VOL - 1 Virtue all etched in

    Hope this helps you

    This is the original

  3. So it seems theres not only alot of boots but alot of originals too... I have 2 copies... one is the white back with blue letters. This is a boot. ive just recieved what im sure is an original with blue back and black letters... the previous thread on this topic does not mention this version however... a while ago i posted up a want add for this record and was offered boots as originals so even though its a cheapie, its such a great tune and it would be great to have a comprehensive understanding of this record! cheers

    Hi olliewtf

Originals of this are Light Blue label with Dark Blue lettering moulded over label on vinyl

  4. The original question i asked was about whether it is better to use headphones or speakers to grade records aurally.I found that any crackles or pops were more prominent when i listened through headphones....i'll be glad when my record collection is sold.

    Hi Voodoo

If i was selling i would grade through speakers IMHO

  5. Yep, both good comps. I can also recommend Kebs Soul Spectrum comp - packed with lots of big buck goodies including Tony Fox and Flowers. If you can find one - the  itself is becoming quite tricky. There are two,  both good - the aforementioned one is the second one.

    Peter

    Ay up  Peter

Agree with you on that one it's Spectrum 2 the 1 i got  never had 1st one m8   :(

    cheers Kev  :hatsoff2:

  7. Think Parliaments on pink is a boot (without checking). There was also grey label - early releases. Some came out on both e.g. J. J. Barnes - Our Love Is In The Pocket, Parliaments - Time.

    Cheers

    Richard

    Richard

Parliaments Time Came out on Pink Label Vinyl first then the Multi coloured styrine after

The Pink Vinyl copy has ARP stamped in & Bell Sound Stamped in this one is believed to be the original 1st press

BTW Good old Music is the A side / Time B side

  8. Yes there will be a legacy

Agree with PeteS that some of us have been away for 20yrs

When i came back into the fold again & started collecting i did not want to get into all the Same old Same old stuff i wanted to get

X the Board tunes and play different tunes That can get played in Big Rooms

Yes some of them are fogotten oldies but a lot of them were nu to me at the time i'm always trying to find nu tunes to me

I have never had a wants list as it restricts a view of the music we all love it's in my blood till i die now

Djing is secoundary collecting comes first imho
