  1. Wasn't it AVI who, after SS booted James Bounty, commissioned their own dark version of this song as a message to Soussan ?

I refer to "Permanent Injury" by the Bryson Bay Band. Not bad to have a song written about you, even if it doesn't exactly give praise or adulation.

  3. whats the story with this then Ian, I have my copy here now and it looks identical  :g:

    Hi Andy

I spoke to Max Millward (Blue Max) about the origins of this counterfeit he told me Simon Soussan had them done as close has he could to the original Demo's as possible including the H stamp in the dead wax

  4. Well, I do not want to leave the traditional arrangement style of the 60/70's, so my song writing and demo production revolves around new songs, but with a 'traditional method' I guess. I still think there is potential for new material, but a factor that concerns me, as somebody who likes to write and be creative....is that I cannot always afford to release 45's. I find it a strain on my resources despite many old school saying they like the material but cannot play it at gigs. Like this....mid 70's, but sounds familiar. I am just about to commission some Philly drums on it, if it works out:

  7. Hi Jordi

    Well remembered mate

A friend of mine in the 90's got me approx 15 copies

All were unplayed and ALL had the infamous 'styrene crack'

I do remember selling them all at £75 even back then BUT did have a few sent back because of the 'crack'

As an aside, it's always a hard one trying to explain the 'crack' in sales patter, there's just no way of saying that it's cracked but it isn't (if you know what i mean?). I tend to try 'stress fracture' but that sounds even worse!

So i'd appreciate it if there are any Shakespearian Writers out there who can put into words how a record can be cracked but not and NOT put anyone off LOL

    Cheers

    Steve

ps Glad it's finally getting spins - was always going to be a big record BUT some take a lot longer than others (20 years+ in this case!)

    HI Steve

You could describe it as a pressure crack ?  :wicked:  :D

  8. Yeah, well I know it's an auction and great result coming up for the seller but from a buyers point of view I was trying to understand why someone would bid that much on a record with very little value.  Same as when that Jackie Edwards went for £300 odd, I've still got one I can't sell for £25.

Pete why don't you try a Drop Down Auction !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or is that to much bother ?

    Kev
