  11. Before this gets confused, by including the "C.B" label, there are Two versions of "Sweet'n" on Resist, one by Wilbur Reynolds on the flip of "Who'll Cry", which sounds "Female" to my Ears, and another release by "Jimmie Lee" which I've most definitely seen, and unless there's some kind of Hormonal imbalance going on, is most definitely a Male version. I concede that there may be another release on the "C.B." imprint, which I'd be interested in seeing.
  12. "Benny Curtis - Precious One" did garner a little bit of interest around the "Stafford" era, which was when I bought mine, and is a nice little "R & B" tinged mover. Resist 506 is:- Loose Wig - I'm In Love With You Baby/I'll Always Love You Darlin' This I can only describe as "Blues" with a bit (and I mean a bit) of a beat. The only other "Resist" track I know of, but never managed to hunt down is Jimmie Lee's thumping Male version of "sweet'en" which was played by Mr. Hennigan in the early 1980's, and more recently by Dean Anderson. Apologies for not being able to put up "Sound files", but doing this on the Children's Computer is as technical as I get! DES
  13. Have a clean "Chubby & Turnpikes" in stock. Des (01242) 231299
  14. Herb Johnson sadly died of Cancer in the early part of last Year. I was fortunate to see him perform a few Years before that in a small club in Philly, accompanied by Dave Brown (Philly Archives) on Drums, and the legendary Bobby Eli on Guitar. Although riddled with the disease then, his vocal performances that night on "I'm So Glad" and "Carfare Back" will stay with me, as cherished memories.Herb had also been recording stuff up to the end, and if you check the credits, "Holler" was co written by Dave Brown, and is therefore a relatively recent recording, though "I Know" must have been an older recording that Herb let Dave make use of. My copies came from Dave, and I assume it is his product, though he may have leased the tunes to some enterprising Finnish chaps.
  15. I have a clean copy of this in stock

  17. Doni Burdick "claims" to have sung "Candle" live on a Childrens T.V. Show in Detroit at the time of it's recording, now that's one piece of footage I'd like to see!
  18. Recently picked up a handful of great looking Bell "Promos" of a version of this tune by Gordon Waller (unfortunately one half of "Peter & Gordon") Anyhow it's not a bad version, very dramatic, and I've heard worse!
  19. The disc has a few marks on, but on the whole is in good shape and plays fine. Manship rates it @ £100 and Mr. Brown says £350 for a "Promo" and £500 for an Issue!!! There's nothing like a concensus of opinion is there, but I do know that an Issue is pretty tough! Anyhow I'm looking at £175 for it, including postage etc etc. I would prefer, however, to send you the disc on approval and you send me either the money or the disc back, as I prefer customers to see what they're buying first, especially when it involves what in my eyes is a fair bit of money. Anyhow, if interested, send me your adress & I'll endeavor to poste it this afternoon. Des
