  1. The harthon Reissues were legally done by a very respected (and rightly so) figure on the Northern Soul scene in the very early "70's". One thing that we sometimes forget is when these were reissued the tracks were only about 7 Years old, kinda like us reissuing stuff from 2000. Des Parker
  2. I've just got hold of a pile of Kent Anniversary singles, and I'm sure both 45's you're after are in there. What is a fair price that you are happy to pay for them (I'm more than happy to keep them for a while, so be realistic if you want them) Anyhow, I'm not at home at the moment, but give me a call about 8'ish & I'll check on them, but I'm pretty sure they're in there. DES PARKER 07816511488
  3. Just to confuse things even more, I thought the group on "Saa Ce" were a Seattle based group who had other discs on "Seafair Bolo" & "Jerden". I think they even put out an album, and backed "Jimmy Hanna" as well? What about the various Dynamics on "Cuca 1081" , "Decca 31046", "Liberty 55628 ",Herald 569" & "USA 769". Looks like a pretty popular name for a group back in the day! DES PARKER
  4. Many thanks, all sorted DES PARKER
  5. Could some kind friend of Karen's please ask her to give me a call on 07816511488, I have some vinyl related info for her Many thanks DES PARKER
  6. I think it's an almost accepted fact that there is no ONE D.J. that pulls "crowds" into a venue any more, which is a shame if you want to make a few bucks out of an event, without having to go through the tiresome trauma of promoting it. I think the more "musical minded" now look at the overall package of D.J.'s for the event, but even then, there seems to be no guaranteed "winning" combination! There are many that will have their choice also influenced by factors such as decor, size of dancefloor, cleanliness of Toilets, availability of "Bitter", parking, talc restrictions, type of fruit machine, possibility of blagging a "D.J." spot at a future night, drugs availability and drinks prices. DES PARKER
  7. Merely an observation, but even if there was a Hundred events, there would still be no shortage of people to D.J at them all. DES PARKER
  8. Freddie Chavez - They'll Never Know Why/ Baby I'm Sorry DES PARKER
  9. Janeen Henry is of course Andrea Henry from Cincinatti (Andrea Janeen Henry) DES PARKER
  10. The "Emanons - Birdwalkin" aint the "Emanons" but an unnamed instrumental that Jesse James gave Sonny Hopson to put on the flipside of "Emanons - Look In The Want Ads" and therefore, in effect, has very little to do with Sonny Hopson or All Brothers records. DES PARKER
  11. Great R & B styled dancer at the bargain price of £20 (inc P & P) DES PARKER
  12. Of all the "Impact Sound Studio" Acetates, there are more copies of this one than any other. We estimate that Phil Gaber had at least 10 cut of this track (he must have had his reasons), of which I know the whereabouts of about 7, in peoples collections, including 1 that I sold, and 1 that I kept. Whereas, for instance, there is only 1 "real" Acetate of the "Royal 5 - Don't Stop" on a single sided Acetate that only came out of Phil's personal collection in March of this Year. DES PARKER
  13. I have some alternative cuts of "Try To Think" which I am having cleaned up at the moment, and one of them is the business! He's still around, and his real name is Harry (I'll post up more info, when I get it) DES PARKER
  14. Each to their own, I suppose. Not really my cup of cappuccino, but i can see how it has become "popular", though £150 does seem incredible! DES PARKER
  15. A big thanks for that, certainly a good deal more than the £10 I used to sell them for. DES PARKER

  25. As well as Elvis & Beatles ultra rarities I'm sure there are 45's sought after by the U.S. "Doo Wop" collecting fraternity that must have eclipsed the £15,000 mark. Having said that, the "Frank Wilson" transaction must be the highest anybody's paid for a record to D.J. with!! DES PARKER
