  1. How rare is this??? I've been looking for it for an age and can never seem to find it! I know a couple have gone through eBay but for some reason I didn't pick up on them at the time There's some great information on "Youtube" about it, it was written by Kenny Fuller who at the time was ony 14 years old and recorded by "The Ultimates" when they were 11 & 12 years old, there Manager was "Mrs Valentine" so I hence the label name (I guess), it wasn't released until 1971 although it was written in 1964 I believe, and apparently the group are back together. Anymore info rarity wise I would much appreciate.............or if someone has a copy........... Thanks David
  2. Any help much appreciated....................
  3. John has auctioned quite a lot of my rarer records over the years and I have never had a problem of any kind.
  4. Right mine came from Rob Thomas, it is one of the two found over here. According to my acetate listing there is only three copies but I'm not to sure about that. ATB David
  5. Only one thing it could possibly be for me, Eddie Holland "Daydreamer", I'll never forget the first time I heard it, I was with Bob Miner in Chicago and the feeling I got, I can't remember ever being hit my a sound like it. It did take me a few years to get the acetate but I eventually got my grubby little mitts on it It's the one record that will be playing when they carry me out!
  6. One record that always reminds me of the Palais on a Monday Night was Jackie Edwards - Feel So Bad, this was way back in the late 60's and early 70's. If I remember Monday Night was for a younger crowd and we were always trying to get in the Bali Hi downstairs. Then of course later as we got a bit older there was "Grab a Granny" on a Wednesday Night (Over 21's), boy I have some wonderful memories of the Palais Mick Knight was the Manager of the Palais, whose Mum used to be my Dinner Lady at Daybrook Junior School and they lived together on Edwin Street in Daybrook if I remember right. Some great nights down there never to be forgotten! Skeeny

  8. Bidnapper - You can also change the snipe time I think the default is 4 seonds so you can make it what you want ( 2 seconds) but if you make it to near to the close time it may miss out.......
  9. I had one years ago that I sold for £60.00, but there's no doubt the issue is much rarer than a Demo, but £300 tops, for what my opinion is worth
  10. The Innkeeper Band on the left front and center is Big John and to the right center is David Trevino, Big John as in the Big John Record Label.
  11. I have a Spreadsheet of Motown Acetates that were done over the years, how complete it is I'm not to sure or how accurate, but I suppose it's worth throwing into the mix. It shows listings of "Suspicion" as follows: CCMN-0979-NHDD / (Acetate) / 1966-05-25 / Originals / Suspicion (Number of Copies 1) / 0199311 National Sound Corp / (Acetate) / No Date / Originals / Suspicion (Number of Copies 2) / Unreleased V So it looks like that there were three Acetates made, according to the listing that I have. I do know someone that used to have a Tape Master List as well, if he still has it I'm not to sure?
  12. I think it's all up to date now, as of 7pm............sorry if there was a delay, I'll do any more updates in the morning. Cheers David

  17. £60.00 seems about right I know how gutting it is to find something like that an then you see the condition :( I remember when I found a different take to the Four Dynamics - Things That A Lady Ain't Suppose To Do on an acetate as soon as I heard the opening bars (it had a longer instrmental intro and sounded a little faster) I started to get that wonderful feeling you get in the pit of your stomach then the thing turned into an absulute mess you couldn't hear anything but static talk about a sinking feeling
  18. £4k for Lester Tipton sold on for the same.............
  19. Have to ask, did the acetate sell ??? I can't imagine anyone paying anything like that for a wall decoration. Nice to look at though Skeeny
