Were the Real Thing formerly the Chants who cut "Baby I don't need your love" on RCA (UK). Used to have a copy, may still have it somewhere. It's a great UK record (imo)

Heard this at Wigan in late 70's, got my copy around the same time. Used to play it at Rudzys soul nights at the Holy Cross in Leicester on the few occasions I spun any there. Great/underplayed record imo

Is there any connection between the UK Polydor release and Ed Wingate, as a few other Ed Wingate stuff, i.e. Holidays, Edwin Star, J J Barnes, came out on Polydor. Just wondering
