  1. Whooper Swan. Not sure what this bird is doing in the UK at this time of year as they're normally to be found in the Artic regions until Autumn. Took this about 4 weeks ago at Leighton moss RSPB nature reserve Steve
  2. Thanks Steve. Much appreciate the kind offer. Will give you a shout if I'm ever down your way mate. Steve
  3. Just been told that the juvenile wren could well be a Cetti,s warbler . Will be so chuffed if it is. Been after a picture of one for years, they've so elusive. Steve
  4. Yeah all good here thanks mate. My old man is buried not far from Ludlow at a place called bishops castle. Ludlow is stunning, glad to hear that you enjoyed it. As for Frodsham, wish I had known one of my old stomping grounds. Used to invade it from Widnes acting like missionaries trying to educate the locals. Not many soulies about there as you know, they're mostly biker type's into cock music. Great Indian restaurant. Frodsham tandoori. Chinese, huet ben. Highly recommend the Tibetan lamb. Steve
  5. Glad you managed to get a few pictures and fresh air mate. Trust you are well and safe. Here's my take on the bridge over the river Teme taken from exactly opposite from where yours was .
  6. This was the sight that greeted me as I opened the front door this morning. Garden orb spider and web completely across the doorway
  7. Love the composition, drawing your eye through the archway to the mountains in the background
  8. Here,s something that only a few years ago would have been unthinkable in the UK. Little Egrets. never mind a great White Egret and all roosting in the same tree. there ended up 63 little egrets and 1 great white all roosting , unfortunately it was to dark to get a photograph. This picture was taken from approximately 1/2 mile away across the lake
  9. Whooper Swan. I don't know why or how this bird is currently in the UK but they spend the summer in the high Artic , only returning in the Autumn to spend the relatively mild winters in the UK
  10. Here,s a few from today at Pennington flash. Blackcap, Juvenile female . Wren. Juvenile and a Tortoiseshell Butterfly
  11. Yes. Mal. Just take your time and enjoy the views, or get the train to the summit and walk down or vice versa if you can get a seat. My son and 3 of his mates actually run from Llanberris to the summit and back to the car in under 5 hours and that's doing the crib coch route, which isn't for the faint hearted by the way. Steve
  12. Dont worry about not been able to count. Did you get the £1.10 I sent you for the Jimmy Delphs Steve
  13. Wish I was there right now Ed. Plus it's not far from Newquay and beyond to Tenby Steve
  14. He will I imagine be fine. They start wing flapping and eventually they start rising off the ground strengthening the wing muscles and before you know it they will be flying. Steve
  15. Thank you. Louise. ( Flamingemeralds ) Steve
  16. Morning dew like a necklace of diamonds around the edges of the leaf
  17. Thanks mate. When did Tony stop running them , thought he was still involved in the 80,s Steve
  18. The whitchurch dayers and the few nighters where run by the late Tony Petherbridge if memory serves me right. I remember going to a nighter there in the 80,s and it was the 1st one since the 70,s and I was at that .12 years apart. And I've attended the occasional nighters there since those far away nights ever since.
  19. Brilliant picture Russell. Love the framing of the building with the rainbow Steve
  20. Sounds like a good plan Mike . But I'm not going to start DJ,ing again just to test the theory. So come on soul source DJ,s start getting your RSVP out there Steve
  21. Thanks Russell. Only on my mobile so couldn't get all the information. Would love to have the picture details and story behind it.
  22. Looks like a trail camera that shoots video has been used to me then frames downloaded and stiched together and Photoshop or other editing software used to complete the picture. Its just to perfect. Perfectly framed, ( I know that can be cropped ) Flat calm lake, blue sky. Fluffy clouds Sun burst over right wing, But what do i know , Steve ( the cynical ) Smith
  23. That's brilliant. Thank you
