  1. As good a freestyle dancer as I've seen, up there with Craig Westwood, Al Kinsella ,Gethro, not forgetting the young soulies. Eithan, Aaron Williams, young Courtney from Stoke and a few others . Steve
  2. . I've actually cancelled my virgin tv package mate, yes no football , not that we are playing any trust that you are well and safe mate
  3. Ian i Definitely heard it at the casino, As i was much too young for the torch or wheel, Think it even started getting played in M,s if i.m not mistaken Steve
  4. Fair comment my friend. I really never watch anything like that sort of programme, never particularly watch the TV apart from the wildlife, natural history, type stuff. Steve
  5. There's still plenty of venues playing the lesser known, under played, rarer stuff , stay away from the top 500 venues where the people who dress up go ( for want of a better word ) .Where there's some very good dancers to be seen by the way , young and old who choose to dress the way they do. Each to their own. Personally I tend not to go many of the top 500 type venues for musical reasons alone, not because of what someone is wearing. Steve
  6. Len my friend. I've always been at a age that I couldn't care less. I've not seen the programme or any of the footage so can't comment , not that I have ever commented about anyone's dancing. Every single person dances to the best of their own ability to records they choose. I may not like the record that they're dancing around to but thats my choice.
  7. Add Nolan Chance to that.
  8. Some very expensive Christmas presents there for some lucky people Steve
  9. Why watch stuff like that when you know what is going to happen, then come on here moaning about it afterwards. Simple answer. Dont watch .
  10. thought that there was some confusion . Hope it's a scorching hot summer and a single swift doesn't make a summer . I know it should be a swallow but I couldn't resist Steve
  11. Im Spartacus. That's why i called myself Winsford soul on here instead of my real name Steve Smith. We're far to common .i think that there should be a cull.
  12. Russell. A screen shot from the RSPB website and it's definition of red list
  13. Russell. I see plenty around certain areas of the North West but according to the RSPB website they,re a red listed bird. formally a farmland bird but with the change to intensive farming practices they have all but disappeared from those areas. major problems with the UK natural environment agree big time my friend
  14. Two more from today.Long tailed Tit. maybe not the cutest picture like the one i shared recently from Instagram ( quote flamingemeralds ) but i didn't have the snow. Well that,s my excuse and i,m sticking to it and a Nuthatch
  15. Exotic Leigh . . I did need my sunglasses though because there was a strange bright object in the sky.
  16. This is a different take on the iconic Mute swan heart , which i have also managed to capture and have previously posted on here . Original picture followed by the new version, This second photograph was taken on the same lake about two years from the first one so they could very well be the same pair of Mute swans as they mate for life
  17. Lapwing in breeding plumage. These Red listed endangered birds look stunning when the sunlight catches there iridescent plumage, which hopefully i,ve captured enough to do the birds justice ,
  18. Andy. The Cynfal waterfalls are they the falls a few miles inland from the Shell island / Harlech area ? Nice pictures again mate as always. Happy New year to you too
  19. Soulfulmerlin. Here's the copied and pasted reply from Pembrokeshire Bird Group regarding the Swift Thanks for the thoughts on the swift Steve. Just shows you can never be sure what's going to turn up. From the sightings, all by very experienced birders and photos it's looking like a Common swift. Probably pushed north on the strong southerlies the UKs been experiencing. Hope you enjoy reading the blog. I'm originally from the north-west though been in Pembs for 40 years. Eastern stonechat on my old stomping grounds Neumanns Flash. We'd never heard of such a thing back then. best wishes and good birding for 2020 Brian I've been out today around Pennington flash showing the swift pictures to birders who 100% to a man said common swift, these guys are the reference books on birding for me Steve
  20. I also should have said that I don't remember who played them when I'm still out at the venue on the night
  21. Len. I have broken 2 records in the 45 years I've been only half interested in this scene. Dropped one and snapped one
  22. I was answering Karl's post regarding everyone who was active at the time. Plus I'm a nosey sod
  23. I didn't know who played what at Wigan really. Apart from a few of Richards, ive only found out afterwards what certain Djs played when ive read books. didn't care then, don't now. I love the Mello Souls but haven't got a clue about who owns the few copies
  24. How sad. Rest in peace and thank you for your contribution to the sound track of my life.
  25. Karl. I must be a exception to the everyone knew who was playing what bit. It's a side of the scene that I have never ever been bothered about , if I liked the record that was the start of the attraction then the curiosity regarding artist, label etc came second but regarding who played what. Not a clue, never particularly cared. Steve
