  3. Didn't know it was anywhere near that price. Thank you
  4. Rob. You know and I know in the real world its half that price maximum. Great for all the UK collectors but however John does it never ceases to amaze me Ste
  5. Thanks Brent my favourite tune of all time as you know mate
  6. Looking like Swinton will be especially busy early doors now that Culcheth is cancelled instead of the later time when the normal creatures of the night like myself turn out.
  7. How true you were in your prophecy. Ste
  8. Thank you for posting my friend as always. . Calvin Greyson is awesome. Charts. Living the nightlife. So many memories attached to this tune . I've no idea how much the above to records are worth . Non whatsoever. The four tops. I missed out on one about 2 years ago at nowhere near that price.
  9. Was lucky enough to have a few visitors to my garden recently . Redwings and a Mistle Thrush. Both are members of the Thrush family and are extremely cautious visitors to gardens, I see the occasional Mistle Thrush through the year but not very often as they have become quite scarce and its only the second time ive ever had Redwings visit my garden. Both pictures where taken through the back bedroom window
  10. Bob still DJs and was booked to do a set at the now cancelled Culcheth on Saturday night. And he is still up there with anyone. IMHO of course
  11. Thanks Mick. Really sad new Smokie was a legend when I first got onto this scene in 1975 it wasn't that many years later when I was introduced to him , we hit it off and always had a laugh or a tale to tell whenever we met up. Your not suffering anymore Ste and have gone to a better place, until we meet again Deepest sympathy to all his family and friends Sleep well and rest in soulful peace my friend Ste n Lou. XX
  12. Heard them both for the very first time ( I think ) on Saturday night at Soul liberation. Oaklands Hotel . Weaverham. Absolutely fantastic
  13. John. When you back in the UK ? Where you staying here in the north or down south.? Could have a massive bearing on what you have available plus what type of music you want to listen to. Top 500. R n B , Funky stuff, Modern, 70,s Crossover . Rare. Ste
  14. Beat me to it Ian.
  15. You would have loved the Oaklands Hotel mate with the Horse and Groom crew. Chris and Dave ( Dab of Soul) where there .
  16. Karl. Two sides to this one mate Got no symptoms and go out spreading covid what do you do if you didn't know you had it ? Going out with symptoms because you have bought tickets for the weekender or any event ticket or no ticket venue . That's a different one. Just plain selfish bastards but they will never admit to it. Whoever they are
  17. I've been to venue's most weekends since lockdown was lifted. Nighters and soul nights and apart from 3 they have all been down on pre covid numbers at the same venue's apart from king Hall nighter which I hadn't visited for about 15 years so couldn't comment on pre lockdown numbers.
  18. Lou says she loves you ❤ but not as much as Robbo obviously
  19. Sorry Ed . As brilliant as the record is, but do it justice. how can it get any better than Johnny and her daughter singing it to you in their own home. Priceless
  20. It doesn't get any better than this . Gilly. Andy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ,its so moving and what you guys experienced OMG I can't even begin to guess. Hope you don't mind me posting this on here.
Dont even know where to start with this review . Unfortunately its not possible to give a ten star review but thats what it deserves If there was a venue anywhere in the country last night that was better than the Oaklands Hotel and the Soul Liberation night it must have been truly off the scale because musically it was the best night out i have had for years, Its the first time i have ever heard the Doncaster Horse and Groom crew as a collective or as individuals , didnt even know any of them, which is quite unusual for me but hats off . Simply awesome. Missed Craigs opening spot with only arriving at 8.30pm but manged to listen to everything else and superbly rounded off by Tony. Great to catch up with some old friends and spend the majority of the night in the company of Rob and Julie from Stoke and Ste from Widnes and his lovely girlfriend Lorraine from Wigan If you like your 70,s and Crossover this place has really got to be on your list to visit Thank you
  21. Few more Red Squirrel pictures from my recent visit to Pembrokeshire
  22. We,re not worthy
  23. Only the Red Kite in the UK has a v shaped tail,
  24. Pre Ordered mine back in June, I think it was , just waiting on release and delivery then will see my old mate Mr Whittle to sign it with a no doubt derogatory remark for me. . Can't wait to read it and relive the memories from the greatest time of my life.
