  1. Mr Sammy Campbell Sleep well and rest in peace. You will never know how much you contributed to the soundtrack of my life. Hearing Job Opening for the first time at Station Road was one of those defining moments, Cant explain it you just had to be there.Thank you. X
  2. Spike Island. West Bank. My home town of Widnes. The now infamous Stone Roses concert, I should have been part of the security team for the gig but I was awol having not got home from the nighter the previous night . I can't even remember what the nighter was
  3. Paid £10 for my kent label variant. Haven't got a clue what the value is these days
  4. Karl. Its one of those records that as you know, can be heard most places and has been around for a long time, not one that I have ever taken any interest in whatsoever hence me saying £300 .

  6. Grandson Thomas all ready for school next week, can't believe how time flies, only seems like yesterday when I was posting his first picture
  7. Silhouette of a Collared Dove wing on my kitchen window, the Dove flew away unharmed
  8. Andy that open fire from both rooms is amazing on a freezing cold January night, Definitely agree with the United theme. it couldn't be anything else with being across the road from OT. Remember one night driving down Chester Road when i hit a patch of diesel on the roundabout that heads left towards Urmston and doing a double and a half pirouette any ballerina would have been proud of and stopped inches away from the concrete centre and facing the wrong way only to look up and a Mercedes car heading straight towards me, luckily the two gorgeous girls managed to stop, checked we ok then drove off, 3am going the opposite way, a taxi was doing the pirouette on the roundabout, proper laughing .
  9. Juvenile Male Sparrowhawk on my back garden fence this evening, taken through the kitchen window
  10. Such a true statement. We all seemed to catch up with the older guys as you say mid 80,s when it was a true underground scene and it stayed there for probably 10 years just like you said. Amazing times, amazing records, amazing friendships formed . Glad to hear you're ok. All good here too thanks mate
  11. Mick. I was one of those teeny bopper soulies in 1975 when as a not quite innocent 16 year old I walked down station road for the very first time, that experience honestly changed my life and turned me into the even less innocent 61 year old person that you have before you now. waiting impatiently for the nighters to reopen Trust all is well and safe Mick Ste
  12. Corona has basically bypassed the construction / demolition of Manchester, sites shut down for a few days, few weeks and then off again. I've lived 3 miles outside the city centre for the last 18 years the change is unbelievable, i really don't know who can afford these apartments, flats. I personally couldn't live there, no gardens no outside space unless you class a tiny balcony or roof terrace if your a millionaire as such. I'm surprised that the Greatstone has survived as long as it has, seriously prime real estate but all good things come to a end eventually, personally not been there for a long time, really used to enjoy it.
  13. I would go with Carry on ,Up the casino. Look what you have started now

  15. Nice one Mal. I've just started sorting out the gear to finally get back on the banks, no commercials this time, back to proper match fishing on the canals and possibly matches on the River Mersey at Warrington so it will be loads of new rigs, fine lines, floats, for punched bread, hemp etc and feeders, reel lines, bombs etc for the river. I used to fish competitions 2 maybe 3 times a week at quite a high level, not planning on that sort of commitment but will still be against some the best north west canal anglers. Watch this space
