It was on my list of places to visit this time down but unfortunately out of bounds can't even get back to the Gower, think I will be ok for the botanical gardens of Wales at the moment .

Cheers mate. Chatroom later

Nice to see one of my photographs displayed on a 3ft X 2ft canvas in the cottage where I'm staying. The owner was the first person to ask me could he buy a print and have it transferred to canvas to display.

Looking a bit stormy there Russell. Well it's Pembrokeshire for me in the morning and ever the optimist packed 4 pair shorts and two grown up pair of long pants. Got the waterproofs etc for out and about for the wildlife pictures but I'm like the postman who wears shorts virtually all the time. Its less clothing to get wet and consequently much easier to dry

Definitely no chicks Dave, they eat maybe 4 goldfinch, sparrows a day and it will be a male Sparrowhawk with it only taking small birds. The female will take woodpidgeon, magpie, grey squirrel etc.
-
Lorraine. Fantastic. Not seen any for years apart from the odd dead one on the road. Thanks for posting it. X

Graham. I've been lucky enough to see the Sparrowhawk ( male ) on the garden fence a few times and even managed to get a few pictures. Never seen them make a kill but now and again there's evidence on the grass of a successful hunt. Definitely agree with you on the no young to feed this time of year bit mate. I've posted a link for Dave which has some interesting stuff

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_sparrowhawk Dave. Plenty of information here on Sparrowhawks.

Happy Wigan Casino Anniversary Opening Sept 23rd 1973
Winsford Soul replied to Zoomsoulblue's topic in All About the SOUL
Went my very first nighter in May/ June 75 at the Casino just as I left school. 45 years later I'm still going nighters . ( present climate exempt ) 75 through 81 really was the greatest time of my life and shaped my life and me as the person I am now. -
Thanks for sharing as always Gladys Knight. £350 OMG Sam & Kitty. £494. Madness Who pays these prices
-
On line DJ,s at BVAN ( Bury virtual all nighter ) have been fantastic , the music has and is as good as I have heard anywhere country wide over many years at real nighters, yes we,re all missing the face to face contact, conversation and interaction but until this shit is under control its all we have. This isn't Video / fb/ instragm but a social interaction via a chatroom. From a personal point of view as a still active member of the nighter scene its a fantastic escape
