  1. Thanks for posting Mike. Very interesting read and once again highlights the way the artists where never paid the royalties when they where due and only by chance Lorraine happened upon the article and managed to get what was rightly due to her. Sadly the new single does absolutely nothing for me and comes across as just like most records from today, dare I say lacking soul and feeling. As a 16 /17; year old at the Casino I absolutely loved Lost summer love and its a record that still holds lots of special memories. I've never owned a Pye copy , issue or demo unfortunately, wish I had managed to own one over the years but it wasn't meant to be.
  2. Andy. I used to fish at Trawsfynydd when it was a working power station and they had a cold inlet side and a warm outlet side divided by a massive wall. We used to sit barefoot in the warm water when it was down to -10 and snowing. Amazing experience. Great perch fishing with the odd trout
  3. Looking for Tony Christie. Have you tried Amarillo because he was asking the way their a few years ago.
  4. Thanks Julian. If you click on the link below where it says Click here to choose files to upload it gives you a few options as to upload things Ste
  5. Song thrush eating Hawthorn berries with the sun just catching its breast through the trees
  6. Thanks Russ. Thought it was going be one of those set up jobs like most kingfisher pictures are these days that are entering or leaving the water. Hides for the camera are on water level with stickleback in a glass tank inside the pool, you normally pay about £120 for the session and even get told what camera settings to use. But so glad to see that it's just a normal guy out on his lunch break
  7. Got to be one of the worst records ever played on the scene since the Joe 90 days at Wigan
Almost a week after the event I have remembered to write a review . Missed the first two hours approximately so never got Brent to play his Al Williams for me. Next time mate Got to start with the only negative thing, the numbers where we'll down on what I was expecting and some of the regular creatures of the night where conspicuous by their absence. That aside the music was fantastic from all the DJ s with something for everyone's taste and they all mixed it up to keep the dancers happy and the chin strokers talking. All to soon it was 6am or was it 7am with the clocks changing very confusing when your playing out and it was time to say good night / morning to the stragglers. Great night, great music, great company what more can you ask for at a nighter. Highlight of the night was Dave Rimmer playing the Alternative version of the Drifter by the Raleighs. I ride a Grifter . You couldn't make it up. Neil that will go down in folklore mate.

  9. I do understand Ed. Just sad that something that old had to be destroyed because the council says so. I bet the wall could have been repaired but a tree surgeon would have been the cheapest option.
  10. No. Wall would have gone first Ed. Sad
  11. Hows that now Russ. Any better mate ?
  12. Russ just grabbed a screen shot off my mobile of what I can see. Shows all 3 pictures mate. 2 snipe and one cormorant
  13. Thanks Russ. Was having problems with my laptop and it kept stopping me from uploading pictures and editing my post in here. Will have another look in the morning.
  14. Snipe. Almost camouflaged against the vegetation, another couple of weeks when the green reeds and grasses have died back it will be near impossible to see them and a Cormorant enjoying the Sunshine Hopefully now the pictures will upload properly
  15. A few from today at Pennington Flash. First visit for a while and i was more than pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful but quite scarce Winter visitor to Pennington. Whooper Swans (22 ) , they have flown from the Artic, Greenland etc to spend the milder Winters here in the UK. You get plenty on the coast but not that often further inland, there where only three Juveniles with this particular flock so i hope its not a sign of a bad breeding season further North and they are so wary . Both pictures a cropped as they stayed well away from the bank
  16. Once again I can't make my first visit at the Ukraine club due to prior commitments. But I will get there to catch up with the corridor crew ( you know who you are ) soon
  17. So looking forward to this night. It has for me become the must not miss monthly event added bonus of my old mate Simon as the guest .
  18. Ady. Stanley ( George ) has just posted a issue in sales rather than a demo if it helps
  19. It's all as clear as mud.
  20. Ed . From Yorkshire would you say E dam. Bit of a cheesy joke I know.. personally I couldn't think of a worse place to visit even if it was selling cheese flavoured weed. Mild cheddar is my limit on cheese. Enjoy the trip
  21. Thanks Mick. I will be there to pay my last respects to Ste. Least he deserves
  22. Nearly Saturday. Looking forward to my regular fix of Swinton with the lurkers and creatures of the night.
  23. I would love to see a similar set up to the Ritz Rarest of the rare. They where fantastic. Perhaps a one off type like the Stafford reunion event a few years ago would work. Promoters ...... Over to you . Regarding the million dollar/ pound collection I personally don't care who has what or why. As Karl says it's all about the music not the over inflated prices that we see weekly on auction sites Ste
  24. Pasha. Always laughing whenever I saw her out and about. Another soul taken far too early Sleep well and rest in soulful peace . Ste n Lou . XX
