  1. Here we go. A closer look at the distinguishing features of a Little egret . Black beak and yellow feet and the Great white egret with the yellow beak and black feet
  2. You beat me to it Russell. Cant tell from the picture. Great white egret has Yellow beak and black feet and the little egret has a black beak and yellow feet Great white egret is almost as big as a Grey heron. Little egret is half the size
  3. Goldcrest. Not the best picture i have ever taken but God are these hard to photograph, they never ever keep still and along with the even more elusive Firecrest are Britain's smallest bird
  4. Doesn't make any cents to me.
  5. Already set on record mate. Looks good
  6. Wow. Definitely bargain of the year if it,s genuine . I personally love the record. There is this boot though https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-BILLY-ARNELL-TOUGH-GIRL-TOUGH-GIRL-INSTRUMENTAL-SOUL-STORMER-/114124289238
  7. Thanks for posting as always. Wade Flemons. Really £223. I would knock the 2 off the beginning. Crazy, crazy price. But hey what do I know
  8. My Canadian copy of City of Fools was perfect. Sorry can't remember if it was vinyl or styrene, sold it a few years ago
  9. John. Hope this helps in some way. Couldn't get a date for this
  10. After a conversation with Tattoodave about the rarest UK owls. I've just been sent this. A Scops Owl picture taken from near Seaham Harbour. Not a brilliant picture but it proves that they are here.
  11. Missing the whole experience. From the anticipation of getting ready travel to friend's houses or they to mine . The journey talking about anything and everything, parking up especially in strange towns for the first time or places that you have been 20 times. Doesnt really matter. Greeting fellow carpark lurkers, then finally getting to the venue, getting in well that depends on who's outside to say hello to first. Walking through the doors more hello,s, .I've even been known to make it into the main room on occasions
  12. Christmas in our house 20201201_190449.mp4
  13. Very nice tune. New to me , thanks for sharing
  14. Yes mate. Went the first one but coming down from Manchester via Stoke for a 1am finish was a little bit too far unfortunately. Shame because the music policy is fantastic. Will definitely be returning when this is all over but not monthly like i used to for Willington
  15. Ali used to do some fantastic sets at Willington social club before its sad closure last year
  16. A young Ali Mayer. Now he has got some tunes. Another nice guy
  17. Thanks mate. Much appreciated for the information. I really thought it was a double spread. . Am I getting mixed up with the Blues and Soul for the double page
  18. Every single person who contributed to this years thread has put a smile on my face. I don't pretend to be a expert ( I leave that to Martyn and Tattoodave) real experts. I've just been lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time some of the times . For example the Otter pictures. That was a once in a lifetime experience I even had to run back to the car for the camera. Opposite side of the coin. . I walked for a hour over rough terrain to see the Bearded Vulture back in September . I took approximately 150 photographs, later when I got back home and checked, i had blurred pictures, the image stabilisation had somehow got turn off. Result all blurred pictures and im never ever going to see another one in the UK. Gutted but at least I've got the memory . But I'm lucky to be able to get out and about a bit more than normal with having no job ( as yet ,) so I can take a few pictures. May I suggest that you try using sunflower heart's for your bird feeder. It may take a few days but the finches will return and once they know about the sunflower heart's they will bring in other types. , woodpeckers, bullfinch, greenfinch etc
  19. Jeff we know em as well mate .
  20. Tony . Top man great taste in music. One DJ/ promoter I know used to be a area manager for B n Q. Another for either Tetley Walker or Greenalls brewery can't remember which one, a legendary casino DJ was a Maintenance fitter at Heinz 57 Wigan but nothing as exotic as Tony's
  21. Mike. I used to buy the Black Echos on my way to work as a apprentice fitter. Bought the first couple of years before it virtually binned the northern coverage, it went down to a couple of columns from I think a double page maybe more with the sales lists. ,so I'm in the same camp as you regarding the coverage. As you say we could be wrong. I'm sure some collectors out there will have them. To prove one way or the other
  22. From the very first time that I heard this it just struck a chord and I've loved it ever since , funny I can't remember where I heard it or who was playing it.
