Steve, Sorry to hear the bad news mate. What a bummer, all that time, effort and money spent on promoting the next one, if there,s anything i can do give us a shout.
Steve
A few . Surrender, Diana Ross, Hey there lonely girl, Eddie Holman. Hurt, Manhattens. Did the Four Tops Ask the lonely ever chart ? if so it would have to be that one.Thats as soulful as they come imo.
Steve
Dan, Glad you noticed it because i thought i was getting confused in my old age. both for and against in the the same statement unless we are missing a point somewhere
Steve
We do it because of our love of this Music. It costs thousands to put a nighter on. The majority of nighter promoters cant afford to run these events at a loss so you have to get off your arse and promote the venue that your involved with. That means for me personnally going out most weekends fri and sat even if i dont want to . I spend more on travelling / entry to these venues promoting Winsford than i have ever made from the Nighter itself. So why else would i do it other than for the love of this music. So next time you go out think of the people who run the venue, how much time, effort and money they put in to give you in the majority of times a good night out.

I would love to see Eddie Holman again, When he appeared at Lowton it was by far the best live act i had ever seen. What a shame that there were only 300 souls in the place. All i can say is the other tight fisted so n so,s missed the ultimate performance by a truly wonderful genuine, warm person. Thank you Eddie.
Steve
Sid . Nice to see you post on here bud but not in the way you have, selling your tunes an all. I know i,ve bought some of you but when you see it in black n white it hits home. Good luck with the sales and will see you soon.
Steve
Used to be at the Ritz . Size 10 boots, Dress, Wig, Smoked fags like a bloke. Dead Funny to see but no one batted a eyelid. Took a shine to Keith Brady
Steve
For me but not in any particular order. Baz Maleedy, Flanny, Ste Whittle, Mark Bicknell, Brian Rae, Richard & Russ. Robbo, Carl Willingham. Tim Ashabendy, Pat Brady. The list is endless.
Steve
I think your right . the books need bringing up to date but as there hasnt been a venue that can and did make a lasting impressions on peoples lives since Wigan Casino .i dont think it would be financially viable to undertake such a task. But that is my own thoughts. :tomato2:
Steve
Stafford was just sketched over because it didnt contribute that much and anyway the book title was too darn soulful which implies to me it was about earlier times on our scene not the stafford ( over rated ) era.
