I think your right . the books need bringing up to date but as there hasnt been a venue that can and did make a lasting impressions on peoples lives since Wigan Casino .i dont think it would be financially viable to undertake such a task. But that is my own thoughts. :tomato2:

Stafford was just sketched over because it didnt contribute that much and anyway the book title was too darn soulful which implies to me it was about earlier times on our scene not the stafford ( over rated ) era.

Steve. Half the time at the Casino the tape recorder was put on the stage and covered with a coat , jacket etc me thinks it was for a couple of reasons. (1) to stop the tape getting nicked ( 2 ) the DJs couldnt see it recording there exclusive big tunes. Not that the sound quality was good enough to copy onto a acetate anyway.Well i didnt think so from the tapes i heard. Before i had posted this Pete S gave a answer so i amended mine.

Sue Lynne. Dont Pity Me. BBC record libary stamp on label. Sold it for £17. in early 80,s. Keith Minshull then bought it at a Samanthas Niter a few years later £70 Whereabouts today unknown.
