  1. What a question. Would give the vinyl up no contest. In my opinion you cant beat the buzz of a nighter. I dont play my tunes during the week anyway only of a weekend when i,m getting ready to go out or when i get home with a new one in the morning but would still give them up. Steve

  10. Sorry taken a few days to get back to people but just been to busy to come on here. Thanks for the kind words. But i,m defo quiting. So no campaign to get me to change my mind. I will be leaving part of my soul in Winsford so i think i will keep Winsford Soul as my name. Steve
  11. Just thought i would pass on some info regarding the South Cheshire Soul Club . I have quit as co-promoter of the Winsford Allnighter as of the 3rd Feb. I,ve been involved for the last 3 years and i,ve decided that i,ve taken it as far as i can. I would like to thank everyone of the DJ,s who have graced the decks over the 3years that i,ve been involved with the place But more importantly i would like to thank all the punters who made the pain of running a Nighter worthwhile. Dave Price & Sam Moore will continue to run the Nighter and i wish them every success in the future. Steve

  15. In my opinion I cant believe there's no mention of any of the following Widnes, Warrington. In the mid to late 70,s there was a soul night 7 nights a week in Widnes at different venue's. Warrington had the Carlton then Parr hall. Then there was St Helens, Where the Saints club ran for i think 11 years through the 80,s and 90,s The Saints was responsible for breaking as many tunes as any of the nighters that where knocking about at the time and Baz M and Flanny just don't get the credit they deserve. Great topic by the way. Steve

  20. Thanks for comment. I try to play this type of stuff when i,m out and about. normally to a very good reaction from the dance floor and collectors alike. Why they get bypassed i dont know. A lot of late Wigan tunes have been overlooked by the majority because if it aint rare it aint cool or trendy. Yes there where some bad tunes played But there where some awesome stuff too. Steve
