  1. I know mate. So fcuking angry . But if and its a big if when they catch the scum that did this he will get a slapped wrist because he comes from a broken home and he has issues.
  2. Dave. The suspicions are falling on Anglers as the nest site was on a Trout reservoir and the nest was only accessible via a boat. Which are moored ironically near the visitor centre which houses the cameras watching the nest. And more irony the visitor centre and the surrounding amenities actually brings in more money than the trout fishing does . Ste. PS thanks for the Wheatear mention
  3. Only just seen this Mal. Unfortunately nature is a unforgiving beast. Somethings die so others can live. But I do feel for you mate. I know the price of Otter proof fencing is astronomical and most small clubs and commercial venues simply cannot afford it. I'm all for re-wilding and introducing creatures that we annihilated but there needs to be proper thoughts. I love Otters but we have raped and pillaged the Eel supply which is its main food source so introducing them back into areas where the Eel is almost extinct is just asking for conflict between Otters and fisheries and there owners and as the Otters are totally protected, what can they do to protect their livelihoods and stop them going bankrupt ?
  4. Have to share this. At 9.42pm Someone cut down the nesting pole / nest platform at Lyn Brenig Osprey project in North Wales. the Osprey had actually laid her first egg on Thursday . The nest itself was been monitored 24 hrs by cameras but not the surrounding area. The area can only be reached by boat as its so inaccessible. I hope the SCUM that did this gets a good slap before they get banged up for a good few years. There are only five breeding pairs of Osprey in Wales which makes it so much more heartbreaking.
  5. Screen shot of Tenby lifeboat Station with Wally the Walrus clearly visible on the lifeboat slipway. Taken two minutes ago. Please still be there four weeks tomorrow when I can hopefully see him instead of photographs and videos
  6. Just go say the same. Look forward to the book now. Finally
  7. Well i actually achieved a long time ambition today and managed to photograph a bird that i have not seen for over ten years and from the days before i even owned a camera. Black Necked Grebe There,s also a picture of a Little Grebe and female Kingfisher but in a brief appearance
  8. I had one. Think it was a pale blue / green coloured Lamon . Can't remember now. Long long time ago
  9. Julian. I'm not a photographer either. I just enjoy walking with the bonus of carrying a camera just in case I see anything interesting. Your garden looks lovely and the pictures are very good
  10. Lorraine. That's a lovely picture and a blackbird singing in the blossom is to me the epitome of a English spring
  11. Some fantastic stuff on those lists and as a 16/ 17 year old it was the only way I could get those tunes that I loved. I didn't know about boots in those days. But I didn't have a clue who Colin Bee was
  12. Ted. Hope you're keen safe and well Earl White is a class tune and I will be asking you to play it if you get one mate
  13. Julian. I nice blue issue got sold at Winsford many years ago for £40 , the seller thought it was a boot . Wish it was me that bought it.
  14. Thanks Neil. ☺ I'm lucky enough to be semi - retired and I can get out and about taking a few pictures ( if I'm not fishing ) and share them on here The comments are really appreciated
  15. Thanks for posting as always my friend Freddie Chevez. If ever a record was screaming for investment investment, investment . Not this is one of the greatest recordings ever to grace the decks at virtually every nighter in this country as the headline is a joke. . Since when do people apart from sad bastards buy records as investments buy them because you love them. End of. I'm speechless. Earl White Jnr is a fantastic record but not sure about the price. Love the Syl Johnson. Do you know what love is.
  16. Thanks Wally for sharing them. I bet its fantastic to see stuff like this whilst you're at work. Bit better than UK water's even from that height
  17. Well. This morning was the day i finally caught up with the Yellow Wagtails . One of the UK,s most colourful Summer visitors and as a bonus a Pied Wagtail that is almost black. Might as well add the Grey Wagtail and White Wagtail for the set
  18. Thanks Neil. Much appreciate your kind words
  19. Second guessing the next couple of nights cloudy skies so i took a few pictures of the Super pink moon last night All three where taken on a tripod / Gimbal head and shutter release cable set up to minimise shake to get a clearer picture and i used different shutter speeds of 1/1250. 1/ 1600 and 1/2000 sec because of the speed of the Moon travelling across the view finder on the camera I've added a black and white version.
  20. That's brilliant news mate. They have been local to me for about two weeks now, 1000,s of Sand Martin but I've only seen two House Martin, plenty of Swifts today so don't know what has happened to the House Martin, they normally here before the Swift
  21. Bit of a mixed bag this morning at Elton No Lesser Whitethroat , Heard two Grasshopper Warbler reeling but no sightings Female Wheatear Lapwing chick Roe Deer Common Whitethroat And about 50 Swift passed over screaming and managed a quick picture of one before they carried on there journey. Greenshank. this is the most heavily cropped of the pictures as the bird was actually on the far bank of the reservoir from where i was maybe 400 metres away All the pictures are heavily cropped as they where quite distant apart from the Common Whitethroat
  22. I think Gerri Thomas was 77 Ed that's why I posted it. Definitely big room Wigan for me mate I had totally forgotten about Mary Saenz. Love the girly stuff. Soul Police be shouting Ste
