  1. Totally agree with you on the error. Never reached over to young people. 1975 first nighter I was 16 how young does she mean ?
  2. Hugh. Got some strange looks walking into the Asda across a snowy carpark wearing shorts, North face t shirt and trainers with as much ventilation as leather . Yorkshire you sure know how to treat a girl mate

  6. Keele also had one of the best record bars of any nighter that I have ever attended.
  7. Here's my original Keele membership card. No 177 from the very first night. thought it was 103 for some reason
  8. Hugh. Hope you and the lovely Yvonne are doing well . The only place I would have gone this weekend is The spirit of the Orwell with Butch but its well sold out.
  9. Nighters are 6am onwards anything else is a late finish night in my opinion. There's a dayer coming up that ends at 4am , later than most soul nights
  10. Great Friday night nighters. Never knew what to expect when you walked through the doors. Lasting memory for me was when Roger and Jenny celebrated the wedding there, Brilliant . Got a few of the famous anniversary lapel pin badges. Ste
  11. Pennington flash. So called art installation to bring people's attention to the state of the planet. Don't think a 10 metre diameter globe that's lit up is helping, especially the waterfowl that roost in the area
  12. Recently found my membership card , number 103 ( will dig it out again and post a picture ) . Keele was certainly up there with anything post Wigan in the 80,s .Winsford, Tony,s , Bradford, Leicester, among others Sure it was 1988 when it first opened its doors

  15. Me too. 1976 /77 ish . Managed a Ronnie McNeir on Deto but never the Johnny Hampton.
  16. No idea Paul. But I'm sure someone will have the answer Ste
  17. Love Johnny Hampton. Unfortunately one that I have never had the pleasure of owning and probably never will now its reaching these prices. Don't see many for sale and never have done, how rare it actually is I don't know but definitely a tough one

Jimmy. I'm not on FB mate.
  19. Never seen one . Much prefer the vocal anyway.
  20. Merve. Every BBC radio station got there own copy, don't know how many stations there are but that's a lot of records mate. I wonder if they had copies of Darrell Banks ?
  21. Ed. The BBC used to get a copy of every record that was released, definitely in the UK but no reason to doubt US releases also. My first copy of Sue Lynne Don't pity me had a BBC record library stamp on the label and on the half round clear plastic record sleeve. So there was a good chance it was a original
  22. Exactly my friend. . Tell Liza records and fishing gear are non negotiable in the house move. But shoes and clothes are, see what she says to that but don't forget the hard hat and cricket box when you tell her.
  23. What's quality to me n you mate is crap to the rest of the world otherwise all this stuff we like would have been No1 in various places world wide
  24. It could have been the 70,s before it was released. I remember a thread on here about it years ago so maybe some more details/ information in that thread
