  1. Went Leighton Moss today, bad move full of tourists after Autumn watch. Never seen it that busy. Got a new tick off my bird list. Seen a Water Rail for the very first time. Unfortunately no pictures. Another Leighton Moss first was a Otter to far away for a picture, had a robin perched on my hand, seen a brown hawker dragonfly, seen a peacock or red admiral butterfly couldn't make out which one. Then sat for a hour waiting for the starlings to come in to roost, they must have gone to a different part of the reserve as i only seen a small flock of maybe a few hundred birds. Very happy Steve
  2. Chris. Having never been back to Wigan town centre since the new shopping centre was built I can't help you. The flats where slightly further down station road than where the casino building ended by a good few yards. Steve
  3. You mean there was soul after Wigan And before Steve
  4. Love the simplicity of this picture, which wasn't staged it was actually lying on the path Steve
  5. A few more Autumn pictures Steve
  6. I personally am in to good soul music regardless of what pigeon hole someone puts it in.I don't mind been classed as a Northern soulie. I've got something good that most people will never understand and if they want to believe in the myth that we all wear 40" bags and star jumpers. That's there problem not mine because I know the truth. Steve
  7. Martyn. Who where the good looking Gloucester lads that don't scare birds. Thought you lot where used to be put out in fields to protect the crops. Nice picture by the way. Female I'm guessing with the brown on its head. The male in winter plumage is a stunning bird. Think you might be just on its range limit in your neck of the woods mate, don't normally end up this far west. Steve
  8. Mace. Looking good mate. Hope it well Steve
  9. I never thought of them as being wary, probably just scared of dodgy northerners
  10. Nice one Adey. Hope your well Steve
  11. Managed to photograph two out of the three Mistle thrushes that where eating the berries on my rowan tree in the back garden. These must be one of the most wary birds that drop in to the garden the slightest thing and they fly off Steve
  12. A anthem in every sense of the word . Both sides Simply stunning Steve
  13. Stunning Martyn, stunning Steve
  14. Good luck Steve
  15. Hilton Hotel. Edinburgh has to be the poshest place I've ever been to a soul night with bar prices to match. Pint of magners cider and a glass of coke was about £10 Chorley town hall used to be smart when roger banks used to run it Bolton town hall must have the grandest entrance with that big sweeping double staircase Steve
  16. Watching Autumn watch/ unsprung last night reminded me of this Millipede picture taken in my back garden Steve
  17. Jim. Those links are to demo copies. Don't think I've seen a demo LP of those before only the issue Steve
  18. Poppies LP. Seems very cheap to me. Spellbound is a fabulous track Steve
  19. It was booted as far as I,m aware on a yellow 4 brothers but without the licensed to atco distribution on the label Steve
  20. Had the pleasure of seeing Betty Boo sing for the first time live.say it isn't so at Northampton a few years ago when she appeared with Pat and Diane lewis to make up the Adorables. Margaret Mandolph. Something beautiful. Planetary. What a tune. Love it Thanks Pete Steve
  21. Forgot to add that I seen a southern hawker dragonfly today along with about four smaller brown dragonflies. Is this Unusual for time of year or is it because there's been no frosts to kill them off ? Steve
  22. Ed. That was £2.86 mate decimal point was in the wrong place. Because your a mate I will round it up to £3.00 and that's my final offer. Steve
