  1. Sedge Warbler. Portrait and Singing
  2. I would have said £150 - £200 but what do I know.
  3. Thanks mate. Really appreciate it . He definitely his own little man. He also loves bird watching and his Dad wants me to take them both fishing but I'm not sure he,s quite ready for it yet but saying that I was 5 when I first went fishing and my Son Thomas wasn't much older so maybe time. Ste
  4. Not posted a picture of Grandson Thomas for a while. Five now
  5. Andy. Pm sent mate.
  6. Reed Warbler . Backlit with the sun Common Whitethroat playing peek a boo
  7. It certainly is interesting Karl. Thanks for sharing it mate
  8. Brilliant Ed. Can't remember the last one I actually saw. It was that long ago. Sad . Growing up even in a heavy industrial/ chemical town like Widnes there was always plenty about
  9. Managed a few pictures but not sure how good, will have a look in the morning, hand held and because of the moons position relative to where I live I couldn't use a tripod.
  10. Finally the clouds are starting to clear over Manchester. Could even have a chance to photograph the full moon Still only half way above the surrounding buildings yet though here in Blackley, living in the bottom of this little valley so we will have to wait a while longer yet.
  11. Thank you for sharing as always my friend. Shirley Lawson is in my humble opinion by far the best record on this week's list but I still think it's about £200 above the real price . But what do I know. Nothing but hey ho. I don't even like soul music
  12. £1600 to me mate when the price was £2500 but turned it down unfortunately because of the condition , even that cheap I couldn't bring myself to buy it. Played fine though. Like the Jimmy Bo Horne on another thread I do remember it when it was in the £100,s price but I couldn't afford it then with two young kids.
  13. Great record but it's not that many years ago ( 20 + ) when it was in the few £100,s price range. It's actually better than great, slight injustice there, it really is a fantastic record. Got a lot of memories of probably the greatest soul club nights ever . The Saints. Remember Deb buying it for Flanny for his 40th birthday. Lucky sod.
  14. Neil. My favourite record of all time. So so special, regret not ever managing to own one Turned one down a few years ago because of the condition. I was tempted though because the price reflected the condition
  15. Agree % . How very dare you.. I'm way to young to have gone the Torch . Just look old enough to have been.
  16. Trev. No one got upset . Well I certainly didn't All harmless banter as far as I'm concerned. Most of my comments where said firmly tongue in cheek just to be mischievous . Just because I can't be having fun at nighters at the moment, As most people who know me will tell you . Anyway who are the soul police . Anyone care to admit to being a member , don't be shy.
  17. Anyway. Who really cares or gives a toss. What it's called. I just want to listen to music I enjoy and hopefully very soon spend that time listening to that music with like minded people. Talking bollocks just like this thread has developed into
  18. Yes mate. The soul police have deemed it not PC to call it northern soul anymore. As it was originally called, it was a broad church certainly in the 70,s when new releases ( modern ) by black or white artists where getting played alongside 60,s . What the difference now 60,s 70, 80, alongside new releases. Still Northern soul. Unless its played in the Midlands then its Midlands soul or Southern soul further south
  19. Motown surely sits in Wilxys class from Detroit . Nil poi
  20. You sticking to ABBA then Len
  21. Ed. Would you describe Del Larks Job opening as rare soul or northern soul. Because to me and I'm guessing most people it is northern soul ,rare soul wasn't even invented when it was first played But anyway back on topic. Jerry Williams if you ask me . Epitome of sound. You don't love me. Bobby Paris. Night Owl along with my earlier selection. It probably boils down to when you started out on this journey as to what your choices would be Ste
  22. Not a record as such i cant find. When i like a fool i decided to sell my collection because i had stopped DJ,in i actually spent hours cataloguing the complete collection in alphabetical order in a A4 hardbacked writing pad. Its killing me, (This love starved heart ) Dont even have the record anymore but ive promised it to someone for his picture sleeve less copy and no its not my old copy. Lol Ste
