  1. Great tune. In my humble opinion. Steve
  2. Thanks Martyn. Stunning photos, not that I expect anything less from you mate. As you say they sound just like a grasshopper, don't get many in my neck of the woods unfortunately. Steve
  3. Dave . Hope you've well my friend. Don't know how but I've given you a negative feedback, after I had left a positive one. tried restoring it to positive but it's not happening. Sorry about that. I clicked on who had liked it and it just happened. Steve
  4. Good evening my friend. All well in Manchester thank you. Hope your keeping good. Thank you for the nice comments always appreciated. It seems like ages ago since I posted any wildlife pictures, so I thought it needed to be sorted. Only five weeks before my annual trip down to the gorgeous county of Pembrokeshire. Cant wait, hope to get some decent Red Kite, Otter and Chough pictures while I,m there. Steve
  5. The similar names 45Heaven and 45-Heaven. Obviously designed to deceive. Steve
  6. A few taken today at Pennington Flash. I went to see / hear a Cuckoo but as of recent years it evaded me. Got to see a Black necked Grebe amongst others for the first time but no pictures A male Chaffinch, Song Thrush and a Little ringed Plover Steve
  7. A Red Deer hind emerging from the extensive reed beds , where they lie up during the day only to emerge at dusk to feed Is there a brighter coloured bird in Britain than a male Pheasant in breeding plumage
  8. This is my first attempt at a technique called panning. Moving the camera whilst trying to keep the subject in focus so as to get a sense of movement in the picture
  9. Here's a few from last weeks visit to Leighton Moss Willow Warbler which is virtually impossible to see once the leaves are on the trees properly
  10. I'm so not looking forward to tomorrow. A day that I thought was so many years in the future. Saying goodbye to John will be so hard. I will be forever in John's debt for being one of the most influential people musically in my life, he taught me to see beyond the 100mph dancers as far back as the seventies, that's how forward thinking he was. Till we meet again my friend. Goodnight and God bless. Sleep well. Steve. XXX
  11. Good evening Russell. Hope your well. . There has also been sightings in Manchester over the last two days. Not seen any myself yet. We had summer on Tuesday and Wednesday over here. Steve
  12. Its with the greatest pleasure that I introduce my first grandson Thomas to soul source Steve

  14. Thanks Martyn. I've only ever had one possible sighting of a Osprey. I say possible because it was flying directly into the Sun so I couldn't see properly. So I'm still waiting to see one. Hopefully this year. There seems to be a few more every year. Nearest nest site to me is in the lake district from where the birds are quite often seen fishing at Leighton Moss. Steve
  15. Thanks Martyn. Can always rely on you mate. Top man. Steve
  16. Just sad. People with No idea, No sense , No Soul. Steve
  17. Got to disagree. The oldies nighters had a very different buzz about them probably because they where monthly and attracted a different crowd of the slightly older people who had by then stopped going the regular Saturday night's. Used to love it , once a month two nighters in one weekend and when it was a bank holiday a alldayer on the Sunday. Heaven. Steve
  18. Just been reading one of the northwest birding forum's and they have received confirmed sightings of Swallows at Pennington Flash today. So that's good news for me. WOW 27th March. Never seen Swallows in March. Sand Martin and House Martin's yes. Steve
  19. First of the Hirundines this year a Sand Martin. Only had a 200ml lens on my camera and it was a long way away so the picture is heavily cropped but you can make out what it is. Also thought I saw three Swallows but wasn't sure. They would have been the earliest sightings for me by ten days had i been able to confirm them. Also heard two Skylarks singing but they where too high to see them Steve
  20. Ste. Have you got any pictures from on top of the cooling towers mate ? Because I just know that you will have climbed that ladder Ste
  21. Venus. Its great thanks for posting, still prefer girlie groups though Steve
  22. Could someone please define crossover. late sixties through early seventies or northern to modern or vice versa. And why Pidgeon holed as such ? Great music whatever era is great music and deserves to be played out everywhere doesn't it ? Steve
  23. Here,s a couple from me taken today on Spike island in Widnes of the new Mersey gateway bridge crossing of the river Mersey. the first one is the support columns mid river and the other one is part of the car deck that will be raised into position . The scale is awesome when you consider that fiddlers ferry power station is in the picture Steve
