  1. Just returned from a fabulous long weekend in Porthmadog on the Llyn peninsular in North Wales. Will sort out a few pictures but here's one for now Steve
  2. Seen a girl group called the baby dolls in the seventies at the Cavendish club in Blackburn, they sang a cover of Got to get you into my life. Then I hitched it to the Casino. Venus once again thank you for posting Steve
  3. All looking gorgeous . but I knew that already. Steve. X
  4. Is it just me thinking that most of the above shouldn't be auction records. But that's the way things seem to be going .get as much as you can while you can so as you don't seem to be selling some to cheaply or to expensively. Most record dealers at nighters wouldn't get those sorts of prices. Steve
  5. What about Al Williams. I who am nothing. La Beat or Parma. Plenty of these about or in collections. Cost you a couple of grand these days. But must admit to being biased as it's my favourite all time record. Steve
  6. Peter. Good evening spam fritters come as standard when you order a breakfast over the big hill on the dark side Steve
  7. Love square sliced sausage meat. Don't see it much in Manchester. Deep fried mars bars by any chance ? Square sausage meat on potato cakes. Yummy Steve
  8. Banger. WTF. sausage or old car nothing more ,nothing less. There's enough shit on here calling Northern soul different things without anymore Steve
  9. Loved Whitchurch dayers. run by Tony Petherbridge. R.I.P. Then the occasional nighter,s . Still get down there now and again. Great venue Steve
  10. Martyn. Stunning picture as always. Question. Was you stood up in tall grass or lay down in short grass to get the picture. ? You seem to be at eye level with it. You heading for Bury this weekend mate ? Steve
  11. Not long got in from fishing a match at Tarvin sands fishery near Chester. No pictures but had the pleasure of helping weighing my mate John Hammonds catch. He has set a new fishery record beating the old one by 120LB . It now stands at a massive 281LB for a five hour match. .Jealous or what. I had a measly 25LB Steve
  12. Had one made for me a few years ago by Mark Clugston very similar in size. proper dovetail joints on the corners. With a little plaque inside with a nice inscription Steve
  13. This picture was taken recently and is believed to be the largest Great White shark ever photographed and is estimated to be over twenty feet in length.it dwarfs the divers. its a truly stunning and amazing creature
  14. Steve. I,m assuming its a white tailed bumble bee but not my strong point insects. Lovely photographs, actually looks like the bee is asleep Steve
  15. Suz. Looking fabulous. You live in a truly stunning part of the country. Steve
  16. Good evening my friend from for a change sunny Manchester. Thanks for the best wishes. Hope your well . Even though the village is about 120 miles from home and about a 2 hr 15 min drive I love going down there, its such a special place. A typical quaint English village Steve
  17. I was down in the beautiful Shropshire village of Bishops Castle today laying some flowers at my still missed Dads grave because it was his birthday on Thursday when he would have been 82 . When I heard a noise in the large Yew tree near the grave and this is what I was lucky enough to see. A Tawny Owl. as you can see from the 1st picture the camouflage is amazing Steve
  18. Was gutted I missed this Dragonfly emerging from the pond but still left the nymph husk on the iris stem Steve
  19. Great Pictures Martyn. Have you moved to the countryside from deepest darkest wolves mate , just with you saying various farms dotted around the area. Steve
  20. Roger and Hoss in a lift at a nighter somewhere in Manchester ( cant remember where ) Doors open on the floor where the record bar was. Roger and Hoss on their knees pretending to be having sex doggy style . The look on their faces was priceless as they supposedly had been caught. The look on the faces of lots of punters in the record bar was even better. You had to be there Steve
  21. Roger . Who ? Steve
  22. Len. For my input to this just got to say Roger used to run one of the best soul nights I can remember at Chorley Town Hall in the 90,s. When Roger and the lovely Jenny got married it happened to coincide with the Wilton Nighter. Guess who went ? Jenny even turned up in her wedding dress. What a night that was When Roger first started DJ,ing he would always jump off stage and dance then try and get back behind the decks before the record ended to start the next one Steve
  23. Looking good Steve. One of my mates has two marine tropical tanks, cant even go on holiday anymore because of the looking after they need. Steve
  24. Me. Love the life I live. Live the life I love. Inked on both sides of my neck. One of my fave tunes and just so apt for this lifestyle Steve
  25. I,m the same as you Martyn . ( only taller, younger and better looking ) They must think its a gun that we point at them not a lens Steve
