  1. Just had to share this. I think its fabulous. A customised manhole cover Steve
  2. Very vague Pete. . I know I went because of my mates telling me. I blame the gear There's a surprise. . Vaguely remember Samantha,s, the same with Bradford etc, etc and countless others. Wouldn't change it for the world though mate. Hope your well P.S.. don't remember quite a few nights at Wigan either. Steve
  3. Used to get the bus from Widnes to enemy territory.( Warrington) then get the train from bank quay station after meeting the dodgy people in the Patten arm's and go to the Casino. Hitched to Wigan from all over the country when I was out and about at various 18th and 21st Birthday parties. The love of my life ( KM ) had a mini when I went out with her in the late 70,s . Then a few mates got car's. Life was easier then. Still had the odd bus or train journey or hitch a lift thing but not as many. Walked from Blackburn to the M6 once before I managed to hitch a lift to the Casino. I also walked from dunstable to the M1 after a nighter before I got a lift back to Widnes. This thing called northern soul has a lot to answer for. Wouldn't change anything , well only one ( KM ) Steve

  5. I have never liked kidney beans Steve
  6. Exactly My thoughts Mark Steve
  7. The bobbies where right about one thing though. People would travel from as far away as Southampton and Edinburgh to attend Tony,s. and much further as it turned out. Hate it when the lying bastard,s are right. After Wigan. Tony,s empress for me alongside Bretby where the best nighter,s ever. Steve

  10. Here,s something that myself with my limited knowledge and a few more experienced birders today have never ever seen a picture of a Redshank catching and eating a fish. If you enlarge the picture you should just be able to make it out.
  11. A slightly less exotic bird or should I say less rare . a Redshank
  12. Here's another one of the male on the grit tray Steve
  13. Hi Pete. Sorry yes Male and female. They're called Bearded Reedling or Bearded Tits which is there common name. there are only 640 breeding pairs in the country. All good here my friend Hope all well with you Steve
  14. This one shows the male and female on a grit tray. They need grit to help them transfer there dietary requirements from eating insects in the spring and summer to eating seeds through the autumn and winter times when there are no insects so the RSPB put out the grit to help them
  15. Been a early start today was up at Leighton Moss RSPB reserve by 7.45 am. Was worth it managed to see and get picture,s of a very rare little bird, so rare that it only breeds in Norfolk and Leighton Moss as far as I know. Leighton Moss only has five breeding pairs.
  16. Ted. Your in mine and Lou,s thoughts mate. Get well soon Steve
  17. Luckily I have owned all of the above apart from the Ambers. For me it has to be Al Williams. I who am nothing. Either label it wouldn't matter. Was offered a Labeat demo a few year's back for a grand less than the going rate but it was in poor condition label wise, played fine. Might still treat myself yet. Steve
  18. Not had chance to get out and about with the camera for the last couple of weeks which has doe me in but all change from next week so with a bit of luck should have some pictures to post. Just seen over my Manchester back garden probably the last Swallow of the year, flying alone and in a southerly direction. Such a sad day but it ill soon be late March when they return. Steve
