  2. WOW. Looks better than half the venues I have been to. So jealous Steve
  3. Jeanette Williams. About £120 Benny Troy. £60 Ed Bruce. £30 Precisions. £30 That's my honest opinion of what they are worth. Steve
  4. Been out and about again today. Only managed the one shot worth keeping ( in my opinion ) cropped heavily as it was taken with the 500mm lens and the 2X converter from a very long way. Hopefully will get to see some Hen Harriers tomorrow and with a lot of luck some pictures Steve
  5. Martyn. I'm not old enough to have used a 36 shot roll of film. One shot Pitt. That sounds like a old gunslinger,s name from wild Wolverhampton or gun toting Tewkesbury. Steve
  6. Steve. There's a great excuse to take the camera with you when on your dog walking duties. You never know what youmay see mate. there's probably dippers and kingfishers there if it's the river I'm thinking of. Steve
  7. Even at 10 frames ( pictures ) per second I couldn't quite get the clear shot of this male Siskin that I wanted. Steve
  8. Here's a couple of birds in flight from last week that I forgot to post. First one is a Grey Heron and the second one is a lovely little duck called a Teal. ( male ) Steve
  9. it only got booted on a white demo. All issues are genuine. Bought a demo when it first got played and within 6 months it was booted and it was very hard to tell them apart so I got rid and bought a issue Steve
  10. Martyn. Sorry mate. Just found a picture.to identify the gull. It's a juvenile greater black backed gull. Steve
  11. Steve. Your daughter has a lot more hair than you mate and she's better looking Steve
  12. Martyn. Are these pictures of a 1st winter Caspian Gull ? There are reports of one at Pennington flash and this one stood out from the crowd. It was taken from a long way. Thanks in advance as I don't really know anything about Gulls Steve
  13. I luckily just managed this picture of this male and female Goosander as they flew off Steve
  14. Chris. Listening as I type this. Some amazing tunes. Thanks mate Steve
  15. Spent nearly 3 hours on a rather cold day in one particular hide waiting for a sign of the Otters and guess what. Nature won, nothing. Managed to see a couple of marsh harriers , female sparrow hawk, great white egret and a few bits and bobs but no pictures unfortunately. Steve
  16. Spent yesterday mooching about in North Wales. Colwyn Bay, Llandudno areas. No pictures but seen plenty of new born lambs and daffodil's. Spring is just around the corner Cant wait. Definitely my favourite season Going out the camera today and hopefully coming back with some otter pictures, well that's the plan but with nature you can be sure that it will be nothing like what I'm planning. Steve
  17. Andy. I see the Beluga regularly flying in to Broughton [ British aerospace ) to pick up the Airbus wings whilst I'm fishing at nearby Tarvin sands which is just a few miles away. It's as big as it looks on YouTube. Steve
  18. Russell. I 2nd Kevs opinion. So very atmospheric. I'm especially glad to see you have got your camera back out of the case, long may it continue. Steve
  19. Andy. The Emirates A380 Flies over work in Bredbury ( Stockport ) on its approach to Manchester airport. Simply amazing something that big can actually fly Steve
  20. Drake Pintail a lovely winter visitor to our shores Steve
  21. That's some auction. Might even have a go Steve
  22. Thanks Andy. Only the third time that I have seen one. Well worth the couple of hours wait in the cold wind and the 120 mile round trip Steve
  23. Kev. Honestly. If your mainly taking landscape and horse portraits it may not be worth the huge investment but if you want to get into wildlife pictures its well worth the money. You wont lose on these top lenses they hold the prices remarkably well even 2nd hand like mine as Martyn told me. I couldn't justify £5500 on a full frame body with the frame rate ( 14 per second ) I need for bird photography that's why I choose the 7D mk2 ( 10 per second ) Like yours its a crop sensor of 1.6 so in effect my 500mm becomes 800mm when you add on the X 2 convertor ( if needed ) I'm shooting at virtually telescope lengths Steve
