  1. I never said I had a canoe mate no chance of affording one I'm from Ditton. We had ponds to swim in or break into the local primary school baths in the summer hols. Looks fantastic Gaz. Did they drop you off at wigg island on way back .
  2. Gaz. You jammy buggar. Bit different than a canoe on the ship canal or bridgy mate.
  3. Any relation to Mike McDonald. God knows Out of here
  4. No mate. Don't drink. Especially when I'm driving.
  5. Me suited and booted with one of my dearest friends. The gorgeous Jayne taken about 8am after a recent Swinton nighter
  6. As I said that's only my opinion . Its each to there own. Having been brought up in a working class northern town . At school you basically had a choice to be a Soulie or rock /pop type person. I choose the first option. I thought then and still do now how smart generally people on this scene dress. People have different views and opinions which is what makes these type of forums work. I choose not to listen to normal radio stations apart from the specialist programs because the music again in my opinion is not to my tastes. Ste
  7. Nothing here in North Manchester Steve. Used to get plenty of electrical storms in the Eastern Mediterranian ( Turkey ) with no thunder it was amazing to watch the storms out at sea Ste
  8. This is a soul music forum. WTF are we talking about the most overrated band ( beatles ) in the world for and punk which like rock stands for everything that a soulie dislikes, that still stands to this day. That's my opinion Ste
  9. This picture gives you a better idea of how small the Temminicks Stint really is when its compared to the Pied Wagtail fledgling Ste
  10. Pete. Trust your well sir. I will have there's if they don't want it. Steve

  15. Gaz We've got to be trusted mate. We are the future of this scene. . Forgot where you put what ? Me n Lou are good thank you very much. Ste
  16. Andy. The second uncropped picture is with a 1000 mm lens plus the crop factor which takes it to approximately a 1600 mm lens so you as a photographer can appreciate how far away the bird actually was . I didn't find the bird. One of the regular birders got lucky when he saw a Dunlin which is small anyway and the Temmincks Stint was following it very closely. . It actually walked underneath a lapwing, that's how small it is. Steve
  17. Gaz. I knew we get get words of wisdom from you. You have been saying as much for years mate regarding the northern soul scene. Oops the rare soul scene sorry soul police. Trust you n the lovely Debs are well mate Ste
  18. Thanks Mate. Hopefully see you Saturday night
  19. Temminicks Stint. This tiny wader . (Sparrow size ) the first that I have ever seen refused to venture closer than about 100metres. I used my 500mm lens with a 2X converter and heavily cropped the picture just to get this image. I've just added the uncropped version for comparision The bird breeds in Scandinavia and the Artic and winters in Africa . How such a small bird can make such a incredible journey never ceases to amaze me Steve
  20. Thanks Russell. I will look forward to watching the film. Steve
  21. Oyster Catcher with a small freshwater mussel Steve
