  7. Thanks mate. It was a bit chilly to start with but once I got in properly it was fine, love swimming . Great to hear that you have started swimming again it really is good for you. Caldy Island is a 20 minute ( £13.00 ) boat ride from Tenby and is owned by the monks, there's also a few families who live on the island ( I,m not jealous) .

  15. Rick. Same here in Manchester. It's been a great year up to now. Proper winter and spring with plenty of snow and ice normally resets nature's calendar properly and we're now bearing the fruits so to speak. As you say loads of pollen for the insects. Steve
  16. Hitched a lift to Dunstable Queens hall nighter in the 80, s took me 12 hours. Got there at 7.45am as it ended at 8am. Then took me about 18 hrs to get home on a dodgy scooter. Went Dublin numerous times but 1st time got to venue at 10.30pm place closed at midnight . ( Dublin bankers club ) Followed snow plough on M62 over Pennines to get to Sheridans. Wouldn't change it for the world Steve

  18. This is a new one on me. Moorhens fighting with their much bigger cousin the Coot, never ever seen this sort of behaviour before Steve
  19. Up. Up and Away. Was fortunate enough to see this Heron catch this rather large Tench . It weighed about 1lb 8oz or 750grams in new money . The Heron dropped the Tench in the reedbed further over and left it . Apparently it,s done it before , doesn't even eat the fish just leaves it on the bank. Steve
