  1. Mal. My Woman love thief Mal. My Woman love thief was I'm sure a Wand issue. I always preferred the Wand label as opposed to the local Karma label. Ste
  2. I'm lucky enough to have the 100 club anniversary single. As you say fantastic tune. That really makes you wonder why it wasn't considered good enough for a release at the time it was recorded
  3. Thank you for posting as always my friend Mary love. Surely that price is a misprint .I wish it was . Every week I'm surprised what fools and their money part with. Ste
  4. Tez. The Wizard 7 " is the rarest format mate. Ste
  5. Lamont Dozier. Something fishy going on . They proper fish that you catch mate, not like the tiddlers I get. , I was just glad I didn't get a carp take my pellet bait when I was filming the video otherwise all hell would have been let loose
  6. Yes mate. All on the Pole. Bit rusty regarding playing them but towards the end it was OK. I was only fishing in a foot of water so when you hook one they really rip off to fray the nerves . Biggest I've ever caught on the Pole was 15lb 8 oz
  7. That looks fantastic Mal. Some nice fish there mate.
  8. Well I finally got my backside into gear today and went fishing for the first time in a few years. ( only because there's no Canal matches local these days ) Managed 17 Carp, best 4 where about 8lb each and the others between 3lb and 6lb along with plenty of Roach, gudgeon and 1 small Skimmer Bream. All caught on the pole close in the margins as you can see on the short video, so not to bad for just 5 hours fishing 20210810_121959.mp4
  9. I forgot this was back up and running. King's Hall Stoke. I hadn't been for 15 years ( apart from the Rare, crossover room which if you could ignore the what felt like 120 C heat was fantastic ) it will be another 15 years before I go again. Still playing the same records from my last visit. £2.50 for a bottle of water which was available for £1.50 outside from the catering van. The cold water had been turned off in the toilets so you couldn't have a quick cool down wash or fill your water bottle . As most people will testify I tend to know a few people at any nighters I care to go. Stoke - I actually knew more DJ,s than punters. Sorry not for me. Swinton. Was fantastic even though the numbers where less than I expected. Musically every base was covered, spent most of the night upstairs in the modern/ crossover room before finally venturing down to the oldies type room quite late to catch up with lots of people I hadn't seen for 16 months. I then went into the Dark horses room for the last hour of the upstairs events before returning downstairs for the last hour or so. Heard plenty of new to me records and the last set put together by Kev John ably assisted by Jez Jones . was a nice way to end the nighter about 6.15 am . I did hear though that the building itself will be sold so I'm not sure how many more nighters will be held at this iconic Palais. Ste PS . Forgot to add that we had a BVAN reunion type thingy. Soulandy, Lorraine, Ste, Martin L and myself . Was good to catch up with them as always.
  10. Bittern anyone ? Perfect camouflage is a understatement
  11. Thanks Neil. They are stunning little birds and my picture unfortunately doesn't do it justice. Here's a female taken from the garden about 2 1/2 years ago
  12. I have a very infrequent ( maybe 4 times i have seen it ) visitor to my back garden and never when i have had the camera but just now despite the doom and gloom of the rain and the bird deep within the Berberis bush i actually managed a for now record shot until i can capture it in decent lighting in the open. Sorry about the picture quality Male Blackcap
  13. I have indeed been witness to your undeniable skill at emptying a Floor and your even more amazing skill at dodging bottles whilst doing the above. . Multi tasking taken to a whole new level by Len. PS. I.m glad you have confirmed what I thought I knew . Hope you're keeping safe and well mate
  14. Thank you for posting my friend as always. Looks like Barbara Lynn is flavour of the month with some rich person. WTF. Absolutel joke. Or am I missing something Shirley Johnson is a nice record but I've no idea how much its worth. If someone would have said £10 I would have been non the wiser.
  15. Surely the DJ plays his first record that compliments the last record from the previous DJ before he starts building his own set of tunes. That's how I always tried to work . Not play your biggest hitters first because Surely it is only down hill after that , bring the dancers up through your set not bring em down. But hey what do I know
  16. Three more sleeps as we used to say on here. Many sleeps ago. So looking forward to one of the few still dark and seedy venues that are around in these days of political correctness and pathetic health and safety bullshit.
  17. My back garden Buzzard Well its taken from the back garden but the bird is about 100 metres away in the trees at the back of the old school it was a very heavy drizzle combined with a high ISO of 6400 resulting in a very grainy picture and its heavily cropped but ive always said a bad picture is definitely better than no picture
  18. Cant wait for this night. So looking forward to it.
  19. I would reckon £150 / £200 for the black / white issue , maybe £200/£250 demo and £40 for the multi coloured one.
  20. Spider isn't as deadly mate.
  21. Cheers mate . Hopefully mine will arrive sometimes soon then. Never noticed any beer cans over the years either
  22. Thanks Neil. It is actually about half the size in real life. I just zoomed in a bit and cropped it to make it look more scary than it really is.
  23. Common Garden Orb Spider It was next to me when I was sat on the patio this evening before the thunderstorm
  24. Chris. Hope your well mate. I'm sure I saw a Buddy Connor for sale somewhere recently . Will rack the old grey matter and get back to you mate
  25. Thank you for sharing my friend as always. Larry Allen. 4 figures. No way Hats off to John . £300 /£350 L Allen £450 / £500 Larry Allen But we have had this conversation on here many times about which is actually the rarer one of the two. Personally think Larry is the rare one as I have seen more L Allen and actually owned Steve Whittle,s old copy
