On a similar note. I was at a nighter in Morecambe many years ago with Keith Brady ( R.I.P ) Jacko and Jimmy Knowles when Keith commented about how crap the music was to which I replied as I walked off laughing that the music was fantastic and it was the company that was crap. Looks on the faces was priceless . Steve

I was gutted to hear Alf had passed away. Couldn't make the funeral because of a holiday. And I'm not going to be able to make it in September as I go away on holiday on the 29th. Can't believe it. Steve

How do you vote on this ? Three simply sublime pieces of soul music all produced and arranged with passion. Audrey Matthew's ( I think ) But the Black Nasty version is a brilliant modern take on it. Johnnie Mae Matthews version simply blew me away when I first heard it at a nighter. Steve

Joey. Same sort of thing with me only the Gerri Thomas record. I have the same regrets with my 1st real love. I took a friend of mine ( female ) to the Casino and my girlfriend who was sat waiting for me on the stairs nr the top balcony. She looked at me then burst out crying and run off before I could explain anything. April 1979 i never forget. Only seen her once a year later as she drove past me. Would love to see her to explain.
