  1. Has this been released in studio quality on a legit CD?
  2. I have a UK copy, not sure until I get a chance to check if it is an issue or demo. Very clean copy. Is this of interest to you?
  3. Can't help with that Ian but can you tease us with some track listings for the latest batch of CDs?
  4. I first saw it in an article in NME in 1981 entitled 'The Lost Tribe Loses It's Shrine' about the closure of Wigan. It had a caption 'still looking for afternoon of the rhino'

  6. Is that Amazon UK Chalky?
  7. I am interested to know about the history of this record on the scene. When was it discovered, first played, by whom, when did it go big and any other interesting facts. I know Mal C has an Aussie copy, was it released in any other countries. Thanks in advance TT PS are there any other versions of this tune?
  8. Listening to this when driving I began to wonder about it's history on the scene. When discovered, by whom, peak of popularity etc Any replies (except it's crap, never liked it etc) gratefully received. TIA TT
  9. Would like some information on this 200mph record please. Is it a real record or a speeded up version of Charlie Rich? Was it played at clubs? Is it anything to do with the Jetsons cartoon? TIA TT
  10. The first one was covered as Marvin Stinton-Born A Fool - to this day I don't know what it is!
  11. I still have the LP and I think that although it says 6mins it doesn't actually play that long, if you look at the album on emusic: https://www.emusic.com/listen/#/album/magnetic-touch/falling-in-love-with-a-dream/11503418/: It also only has it at 3.26 and I have it on an mp3 at work recorded from my LP at 3.29. Great LP
  12. Thanks Pete, enjoyed listening to that!
  13. Can anybody point me to the link where we listed our top thirty records please?
  14. Is there an alternative cut of this? I seem to remember hearing a version played where the DJ announced that "there were a few more words" at Stafford. I also think that it was played by Dave Evison?
  15. Yep, I have it on UK and US. I think I may have a spare too.
  16. Probably J.D Jones -Yesterdays Love-New World
  17. As always when listening to your spots Dave, very interesting and I love the fact that there is always something new to me.
  18. That 'The Right Kind' is blisteringly good! Would love to know what it is.
  19. Thanks Pete, listening to it now whilst doing something mundane at work!
  20. I live in Solihull, it's been years since I found anything half decent at a local car boot sale!!
  21. Thanks very much, I was curious!
  22. What else is on the LP?
  23. Actually there is loads, and some less obvious like Premonitions, Parisians, Scotty Williams, Midniters, Loveables, Billy Quarles, Mixed Emotions, Loads of good 70's/80's, Lovers, Jimmy Helms, Two Plus Two Debra Dion, Kenny Young, Steve Mancha - the list goes on........................
  24. Ady This series normally comes out about the time of my birthday-ish in July, but no sign of Vol 5 yet? So what's to go on my birthday list? I shall pen a strongly worded letter to the relevant ministerial department!
