  1. What if i popped into my local police station and said 50/100 people have paid for an event that was cancelled, we were sent cheques that have bounced in respect of refunds, what action can we take ? May not be laughed at as you seem to think Not that i intend to do that ( not yet anyway ) I have lost £73 so far, no apology for sending me a rubber cheque , just a curt message saying 'we are sorting it out with the bank ' which was a week ago, still nothing and although they read this forum they don't respond , disgusting
  2. Agree totally message i recieved from them 'we are sorting this out with the bank' NOT..... WE ARE SORRY FOR ISSUEING CHEQUES YOU HAD NO HOPE OF CASHING Not one apology, not that it would wash with me and don't forget, they had a short holiday after the collapse of the event for health reasons , it all had to be paid for
  3. Of course the event had expenses, when you promote a gig you accept that, it has to be taken into consideration we bought 4 tickets for something we didn't get, therefore we would like our money returned, we do not want to cover the promoters EXPENSES , We haven't been asked to, They have just took it ( so far ) If they had had a successful event with profit, would they be sharing it out , i think not WIN OR LOSE its a promoters game of chance LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE ?? If you feel we should donate our money to this failed event , you could always send me a cheque ! it can be YOUR DONATION not mine £73 in total i don't think anyone here will take action against them, that would be rather stupid and very damaging to all, with little to gain. I still have faith that we will be refunded
  4. Hi Ok lets name and shame the Bank YORKSHIRE BANK The letter states ' A charge of £6 has been debited to your account in respect of this service' I think i will find its in their t/cs somewhere, so pointless in appealing Jo
  5. To rub salt into the wound came home from work to find a letter from my bank to say cheque had been represented, and again returned, Ive been charged another £6 , thats £12 in total ! Good news is i also had a brief message from Tracey and Andy saying 'We are sorting it out with the bank' So i will keep my fingers crossed for us all that we get the refunds we should
  6. Anybody heard from them ? We haven't heard a thing, no response at all. The silence is deafening What should our next step be ? I haven't a clue..... or do we accept we won't get our money returned Think its unlikely they must be up to their necks in it jo
  7. can i suggest all those people that received cheques check their bank accounts, you may think you have been refunded WHEN YOU HAVEN'T
  8. Cant see us getting a refund at all, they will be facing huge charges by their bank for returned cheques ! They are in deep s*** Jo
  9. My refund cheques bounced !!! £60 for 4 tickets Ive been charged £6 by my bank No response from tracey and andy to numerous emails and a letter posted to them weeks ago They want us to NOT use SS for moans and quieries, WELL ANSWER YOUR EMAILS THEN !! Thats now £66 you owe us
  10. The cheque i received for a refund for 4 tickets for the 'Little anthony all dayer' last week HAS BOUNCED!! and ive been charged £6 by my bank Thats now £66 this farce has cost us I have tried to contact promoters many times with no response, they even posted on here to request we don't use this forum with refund quieries or moans , to contact them directly... but they ignor all correspondence, we even posted a letter So Tracey and Andy what have you got to say ?? we know you read the forum, respond please i suspected the delay in refunding was down to cashflow, it dosen't take months to refund people we live in cornwall and can't pop round to pick it up, can anyone do this for us ? please i see from the other thread we are not the only ones with a bounced cheque
  11. Saturday night is on my sunday morning face
  12. Still not had our refund, this has to be a 'money issue' it dosen't take this long to deal with refunds they've had our bank details, and numerous requests, ( no response) Not one word from them ! I don't want any explanations now, just my money returned, and your right, none of us will starve for £60, but my money is MY money, if im going to give it away, i would rather give it to a charity I would guess they have run out of money what with expenses etc, and unless they come on here and deny it, thats what i will think , waiting .......
  13. No reason for delay for us then, we emailed bank details 3 weeks, still got nothing, wonder whats going on ? Why are they processing funds transfers only on a friday ???? absolutely no reason for this, we all have internet banking these days it takes 2 minutes to trans funds, i know as i do it regularly to help out the kids
  14. Another 5 days or more gone by..... no refund.....no response to emails are we the only ones ? anybody got an ideas on how to get our money back as the things i have tried have failed
  15. Still not had our refund for four tickets, sent several emails 'unanswered' even asked them to answer to explain the delay Its really bad to have to keep asking for my money Please Tracey explain what the delay is, and why you don't reply to emails You said before '' if we want a refund then just ask'' im asking again please can i have my money back
  16. clearly some porkeys beings told here I have promoted myself, played off any old format, no complaints , NOT ONE Torquay grand hotel Plymouth novotel + plymouth Noahs Ark + lee mill inn no one even asked let alone complained Jo
  17. ''GIRL IM ON FIRE WHEN I SEE YOU DANCE MY LOVE FOR YOU WILL BUST MY PANTS '' southside movement 'do it to me '
  18. OK! I've Been up and down the country for decades supporting venues, danced on dozens of dance floors, but NEVER asked a dj what format a tune is on Couldn't give a fig
  19. Tracey we didn't give you chance ? All the people on here complaining about getting their money back , are the people that were supporting you ! I am sorry for you , it must be stressful
  20. One thing to bear in mind here..... i believe a personal bank acc was used, only 2 cheque books can be issued at the time , thats 50 cheques, these have to be presented before another cheque book can be issued Potentially this could cause a massive problem for them We just have to be patient
  21. We haven't..... sent a reminder email yesterday, tickets returned to them 9 days ago, maybe i am a little impatient
  22. and if i just want to dance to it ??? Done my time on the scene, travelled 1000s of miles over decades, paid my dues as a punter over and over again, Never ever asked a dj what format it was on, makes no difference at all to me. END OF
  23. Four of us travelling from cornwall, booked into hotel for 2 nights, we were really looking forward to it, had no correspondence from organisers, so where does it say its cancelled, like to read it for myself . such a shame really Jo
  24. yep ! saw it all ! Didn't know whether to laugh or cry Umm, a bit sad i think
  25. The Plymouth crew travel weekly/fortnightly to events all around the country, Its always been this way right from the very early days, My sister and a freind thumbed a lift from Plymouth to the casino ( something you wouldn't want to do these days ) Coaches, hire cars, and mini buses, only having old cars ourselves in those days they wouldn't make it ! Many funny memories of break downs come to mind. Tony and i live in Looe cornwall and still travel, but not as much as we used to, Blackpool would probably be the furthest we have travelled, although i did go to Stirling once for a soul night !! This saturday we are going across country to Bournmouth. No Myth here, we have done the miles
