got a few.. AT a modweekender in the soul room, was wearing a nice suit i had tailored and had been drinking all day ( those who know me know im not much of a drinker ) soooo I staggered into soul room and was like thank fook this is better after hearing shitey revival shit for an hour previous..so i hit the floor dancin away and forgot that i wasnt in my baggys and Polo done the splits and rriiiiiiipppp the arse of my trousers is no longer...so lots of people got a good laugh ..come to think of it, i ripped the arse of my baggys in Prestatyn and Dublin too.. gotta get me a pair that fit a bit better.. ooorr...at my first soul night, basically downing a bottle of wine to get the courage to dance and then trying a high kick and landing on my ear to which i got a tremendous applause.. i dont drink at soul events anymore.. L Not really the worst experiences..

Really lovely tune one im going to spin on Saturday i thinks as i havent played it out and recently heard a few dj's play it and it sounds sooo good out..

lots of nice tracks been mentioned and some eerr ok ones... I would add my support to the Seb Williams track, as its top notch..and i think these one's need a shout too: Johnny Moore - lonely heart in the city - Bluerock ( this is just a remarkable piece of soul!! ) im still surprised that Shirley Wahls - why am i crying - King ...you can still get for a reasonably cheap, this i thought would be more expensive, double sider and top notch!! good for me so i can afford one! Well thats it for me i couldnt be arsed writing anymore im knackered and away for a brew adios

Didn't read all the posts but i thinks its about travellin soulies etc. for me the travellin part is the best..new venues, new people, new sounds how can you lose!! not everyone has the freedom i have no children etc.. well im off to Belfast next week then Rugby then Dublin then then Belfast again then Scotland probably Dundee then Cleethorpes and try and fit Barcelona and a London trip in there somewhere!! My wee niece is 8 and she loves northern soul, her mum is getting worried as when her other friends come around to play she sits and plays them Northern tracks off the cd's she demands i make her as she love it! she is now starting to dance about constantly to tunes in her house....her mum has bought her other stuff like the NOW compilations but they're never played only northern! her fave tunes last time i called were.. and this is mad i know : The Kittens - it is over baby, Brenda Holloway - Stolen hours...
