I saw the test screenin too, wouldnt use the term shite but i also wouldnt say blockbuster by no means.. some bits i thought ooww thats pish and cheesy but on the whole enjoyed the film, wasnt too taxing a story just simple love story boy meets girl etc etc..i wasnt expecting a Doco about Northern Soul, each wil have their own take on it, some will say its pish even before they see it some hopefully will enjoy....it was nothing really that hard hitting as we would all like, something gritty, heartfelt and to portray the northern scene the way we feel it but alas that was always gonna be a toughy...Someone mentioned Function at the Junction but to be fair i thought it was balls IMO, i actually thought it was piss take off the scene the first time i saw it, that geezer with the tash on the door and yer man behind the decks, it was funny though and i liked the guy at end dancing but i wasnt sure if it was meant to be serious? maybe thats why it didnt seem to get much negative feedback?? always wondered about that... In terms of relating other films with a northern soul theme, I showed mates who arent into the scene (Function at the Junction) and they just laughed, hopefully if they see this film when it comes out it may spark something a bit more of interest for them..but who knows.. dont really think films n that will influence anythin that much, when it comes down to it when when we're all gone they're still be young people discovering these records and sounds and buzzing off em like we doo, lets just hope they dont make a film about how the scene was in Y2K!!! it would be a horror, mystery, comedy, thriller and all the rest rolled into one!!...

Mate your talkin about a lot of the young lads you talk to on nights out... So much hate, bitterness, bitchyness.. oh fuck me i forgot, i'm on Soul Source .... as i await the classic responses, it's our opinions blah blah etc etc... and thats all fine and well .. Hope the film does well, proud to be apart of it in the limited capacity that i did, still was a great experience and met lots of nice people on the way.. Enjoy the rest of your day or week oorr how long do some of you peeps spend on soul source?? ..

haha i know, i was gonna put that down but waited to see who would pick up on it!.... It keeps me on my toes!!

HAd a party at my house a few years back, my room was a no go zone as me records n stuff were there and everyone knew this though there was loads of randoms in teh house at this party..anyhow at one stage of the night when most people were pissed as farts i was coming out of the bathroom to see at the bottom of the coridoor some random girl heading for my room (noo! i wasnt thinkin great my lucks in! haha) I was thinking my bloody records are evrywhere and lots in piles on ground..literally before i could open my mouth, she fell through my bloody door pissed outta her head and i heard a crack, a distinctive crack..no, not the crack that bone makes (though at this stage i'm seriously thinking bones will be broke soon!) i knew she'd fallen on a record or records! shitting my bags, i fleased down the corridor in my room lifted her up off ground with the kind words of "for f*** sake, what the f*** are you doing in my room and get the f*** out" turned on the light with fear to reveal what the damage was.................. Silky hargreaves on Dearborn was sitting staring at me without sleeve on ground, the smell of poo filled the air.....beside that the Platters Washed ashore also out of sleeve on floor....... the end result.....Silky was safe as houses not a mark and the platters cracked in half...Phew... Anyhoo thought i'd share that... Get those records on the shelves up high!!.. L
