    Christmas do Friday 16th Decemeber @ Westcott Social, Mark Bicknell's got his train ticket booked Eddie Hubbard is picking him up from the Station, Adam has checked the map &said see you on the 16th, Wayne Pugh has a Limo booked for the short journey from Milton Keynes, &Shaun &I will be there cause it is our do, The Banbury crowd are bringing a buffet along for their own crowds Christmas Do @ RSG..     Rob is a good Bloke, & a good DJ, & yes he must go down as a good Oldies DJ, in fact last time I saw Rob Messer was @ The Dome & his first record in his set was a Classic Oldie, in fact it could have been the oldest record I have ever heard @ a Northern Do ...."Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" Louise Jordan I think & from a year after my birth 1957....Rob does know how to get the crowd going, & they certainly moved to this one.... 2 DJ's who for me are @ The Top when good Oldies are the order of the day are...     Ever find yourself going through the TV Channel Listings @ silly times of the day or night to see if there is anything good on that you didn't know about ? Just found this for today Sunday on the Community Channel 585 Sky 511 NTL, Soul of Stax 12.05 - 13.20 [Highlighting the pure sound of soul music which was used as a manifestation of Black-American politics in the 1960s & 1970s ] There seems to be a lot of these things on this Channel lateley this one is Black Tracks & last night it was Funky Black Shorts, a short film called The American Mod set in the Mod Scene in New York, & a fascinating program about this Old Boy [white] known as DJ Dereck who collects & plays Black Music....     Saw ALL the Acts that played @ Wigan, like Alan says Some Good Funk Act's FUNKADELIC @ Hammersmith Odeon was Quite Memorable, Also went to The California Ballroom 1 night when OSIBISA were on, Not knowing who they were etc, They wern't to bad for a bunch of Africans....Quite Good Actualy....
