Well, i fell asleep halfway through that advertisemaent Kev! BUT, just in case im one of the loud mouths you refer to..(eg. anyone who doesn't tow your line!). Ive had 31 years on the scene as a dancer and lover of 'soul and soulful people'. I feel that i have contributed a GREAT deal to the scene, in the same way that EVERY other punter has. Because, 'big fella', we ARE the scene. Without us there is no YOU! On that basis alone I AM your equal....without people dancing to the tunes you broke, guess what? They wouldn't have broke! In addition to that, and I dont want to go into a long advertisement, I put on a play that had a combined audience of 100,000 people....devised, directed and produced it! So, dont try to portray US (whoever WE are) as illiterate hooligans! That my friend is a definition reserved solely for yourself! I dont give a flying F--k about your history, if your deeds today are so contrived and void of any semblance of 'soul' that it takes 18 months to apologise for 'outrageous behaviour' towards our friends! Indeed, if the matter had not been raised again , on this forum, I doubt ANY apology or recompense would have been forthcoming! And, I dont know who you refer to as people who you wont give spots to? But just in case anyone thinks thats me..NO F--king way. I have boycotted your venues as a matter of 'soul' and moral principle for a very long time. Anyway, I am truley bored with you, your music and your lame excuses. So, have a profitable christmas and I hope Santa brings you a 'soul' Peace paul-s p.s. These characters are now creating so many bad vibes, they themselves are receiving awful reputations. Jesus! I dont base my reputation on the 'Northern Soul scene'. 'Soul' is a pleasure thing for me, so i dont need a reputation! The only reputation I care about, is the one i have amongst my friends! Anyway, about Whitby.....?
