  1. A lot of these guys went to Northern School of Contemporary dance in Leeds and the same in London and started mixing a lot of styles. BUT main influence is the legendary NICHOLAS BROTHERS...the best of ALL TIME!
  2. The wag, forgot about that...great nights!...Irvin Lewis, another of the top boys! remember when Brothers in Jazz and IDJ had a dance off in a boxing ring on TV?
  3. Yes, that would be a good night! I actually suggested they look at the Jazz dancers for the 'Duffy' video they just did! They hadn't even heard of that scene. They said they wanted amazing footwork? But ended up with mediocre northern! clueless music video producers!
  4. YES, I used to be a regular tracky goer, when I lived in Wakefield! Bub used to come over to our house with Brun, big Chris etc, top man! Had some devastating parties with him Those years are a bit of a haze...
  5. Herman Rarity I think its a winner!
  6. Yes. Im always suprised by that! I went through Northern, Jazz funk, Funk, Jazz and enjoyed it ALL! Thats why ,i guess, I dont play a lot of 4/4 wigan type tunes, because my life and musical taste, has involved listening, looking and growing. Its all 'soulful' dance music! The music i liked at 15 is very different to what i like now! Makes sense to me. I used to love Dingwalls, Blue note (sunday sessions), Rock City etc. Loved learning to dance to that stuff aswell....F--king great music! And great bunch of people...
  7. HERMAN HITSON - You Cant Keep A Good Man Down Sweet Rose m- Just a very very rare and brilliant tune offers Will consider trades... Wally Coco - Message To Society / Soul Injections - Stay Off The Moon/ Chic Carlton - your love
  8. Wow, good to see such eclectic attitude from the soul scene!
  9. Suggested this to the so called 'dance experts' a while back. Known Perry, Rocky, gerry, Brothers etc for many years...the best dancers around!
  10. have to say it again... OOH No! Paloma?....Blank her!
  11. Nao passa nada Pedro...Ela e pouco doido! HA!
  12. Funny, everytime i used to call for something on that list , it was taken! Ha! Very rare record!
  13. I have JOHN BOWIE - I Never Felt So Lonely anyone know this. Its a big, moody beat ballad.
  14. Yes, probably. But once again, i always sell for what its really worth. Was playing it for two years (was a big D.D.A sound) and a bit tired of it now! People dont generally even look in my sales box. They ALWAYS go big just after I sell them! HA!
  15. OH NO! What an incredible soul singer and a great guy too. Im very sad about that. He was SO nice to me in Seattle..singing 'Happy Birthday' and chatting....I hope he has a speedy recovery..A truly unique and exceptional talent!
  16. Really like the tune! John Clarkes in there and Brian Walkers son , I think? Yes, its same old same old, but its not bad, i think.
  17. WOW....sold mine last week for £250
  18. I have RAINDROPS by the PROFILES.? Is it same song?
  19. I might part with mine. How much?
  20. Well, the quality of sound would be a reason for me (take the boot of Frankie Crocker for instance!). Mind you, the sound systems are so bad at most venues, i guess it makes little difference.
