  1. Karl heard it off me. Been playing it on and off about 2 years . Its been about a while now.
  2. Always crap when records are re pressed. Glad i sold my original a while back....Must be a piss off for those who own the real thing!
  3. Its rare now , cos eveyones starting to catch on. Got mine 2 years back for £75. Wouldnt sell it for less than £150. AND it will rise with exposure...
  4. Exactly my point. Its mostly the ones who never went who like it and the 'weekend soulie' types who got into it for a month or so in the 70;s and used to come as tourists. Forget wigan, its just so crap on every level, a dancing competition that concludes in a 'spin off' choreographed by someone who obviously couldn't spin i presume. The same extras in muliple areas at the same time trying to give the illusion of a full venue. Badies who act like crap cartoon caricatures and terrible editing between original (and now hackneyed footage) and new footage....just f--ing awful. Amateur film making at its worst. Oh, i forgot, " at least they had a go". That seems to be the apathetic and oft cried response from people who used to care....the only citeria that the scene demands nowadays.
  5. But that costs electricity and not sure im prepared to invest such a valuable resource in that film. I could make a cup of tea, which is far more exciting...
  6. SOUL CHARGERS - With Every Beat Of My Heart m- . Just a mega soulful tune thats now getting attention. rare and sublime £350

  10. Thanks for your much valued opinion Chalky. I was responding to a post by the writer who was making closeted remarks about me (post 453). So maybe check back a bit before condescending to answer something out of context. As we know, no one really gives a f--k about anyones opinion on here. For example, i dont give a f--k about yours and will continue to exercise my right to reply. Im glad you enjoyed it, i fully expected you to. Anyway, as i said its great to see it on DVD so quickly. I did, by the way, go and see it and, as i have said before, it was absolutely sh--te! bad script, bad acting and even poorer dancing. Was it Wigan Casino as you remember it Chalky? best paul
  11. Just A Dream - alley m- £100
  12. Trouble, Keb and Snowboy didnt. Most dealers in uk hadn't even heard of it 4 or so years ago. Or were keeping quiet when i asked. Jason was the man in the know.
  13. Ill keep mine then...
  14. It certainly is hilarious. Like ' Carry On Up The Casino'. A comedy classic indeed. As for the Hampstead luvvies crying after they spilt the milk, give it a rest ladies. I DID read the script in 2002 and it had NOTHING to do with Northern Soul. Fact! Or they were so badly informed that i couldn't see the clues in the script apart from one scene with a Kim Weston tune in. Anyway, well done guys for getting it to dvd so quickly. Im glad its doing so well. In fact, you say its doing very well, so i guess ALL those dancers and soulies who helped for free, will be getting little envelopes through the door with cheques in? Or a free party? Or free dvds?
  15. Whats it fetching now?
  16. Just spotted the dvd in cut price Fobbs. NIce to see it available to everyone so quickly. A few on here, i believe, even predicted this some time ago. Spooky how people can see into the future sometimes! Even says that Hewey from 'Fun Lovin Criminals'' is on it! So it must be proper!
  17. When i was looking for it 4 years back, it was impossible to find. Then i eventually got one and played it in uk and people still couldn't find it. When i heard that quite a few had turned up, in uk last year i got suspicious and sold mine (just paranoia ). Its strange how so many materialised and i know they didnt come from Jason. It was a £1000 tune before the 'lucky' uk batch find...
  18. Yes, i was the uk Wally breaker. (over 2 years ago). I heard it off Callum in OZ< and they came from Mr P in Carolinas. Great ghetto funk tune. It has already done 5 years or more on the funk scene and is smashing the northern scene. Joan loves it, i played it round her house and her and T were stomping til dawn. (on the disc.ha!) Sold mine before it gets played to death and killed.
  19. Iconic portraits make iconic money, so is he paying the dancers on this?
