  1. If Joan has time she can put it on up to the end of the break! HA!
  2. YES, there is a latin style break and then it comes in with an even bigger climax.........!!ooooH! there are only a couple of copies around for the last year. I had mine over two years ago and Adam leaver found one and sold it to Mik parry. And his comments are spot on....its a compulsive floor filler, hence Im only taking serious offers or trades because I dont mind hanging on to it!! Yes, I did play it at lifeline when it was on the A1
  3. Thats shite!! I had my FREE ANGELA lp stolen at the 'Lifeline' weekender this year. They deserve a good slap!!
  4. Well , at last, I gave it to Joan, so a clip should go up today. GONNA BUILD ME A MOUNTAIN - Jonathan Capree OXBOW mint only two copies around for the last two years. A DDA tune and has packed the floor whenever its played. SO, serious offers only. Will consider trades....if you have George Hobson...call me HA! PM if interested thanks PAUL-s
  5. Hi Steve....if your out at wkend, bring the Exciters for me. I got a fugitives!! thanks mate paul-s
  6. Did anyone notice a while back when they did a review of this in Manifesto and gave it a false name etc. Calling it 'nag,nag,nag...even gave it an issue number. Ridiculous

  9. thanks mate.
  10. ....you had to rub it in Pete!! Ive only got a bloody Skoda!!!
  11. ...how do you know that? Dont see you up north much mate. 1976 is when I started...not that its of any relevence.....just so you know , the world doesn't revolve around London! Its not quantity, its taking in the world around you and absorbing the experience....a bit like music....luckily, im still open to learning and listening. Thats the evolution of mankind mate! "My car is bigger than your car" type attitude merely emphasises the problem of you 'lads' and your dogmatic attitude. There is NO hierachy, so dont try and preach one to me....I dont recognise it. Age and time, as most know, doesn't always equal wisdom. As you so clearly demonstrate. This has been fun, but I have a life to get on with. I hope your disdain for me continues to dominate your life........x
  12. That was my last word. Thanks Rachel.
  13. only happens when people make uninformed generalisations based on hearsay or ignorance! if you are going to critisize something, make it an informed opinion eg. if you want to slag a play,at least see the play!? Then you can be specific and generate an intelligent response. There seems to be a sort of 'soul masons' response coming from you gentleman!"hear hear" "well said" etc. . Proof being, that this thread was about something else entirely, but got re-directed towards me by forces unknown Sorry if you see me as trying to be intellectually superior....but im not going to dumb myself down in order to respond to your dogma and bravado! I always prefer articulation to gesticulation!
  14. articulate as ever...
  15. Dave Evison!! Top bloke, Dancer! , dj!
  16. After The Soul Injections - Stay Off The Moon Accent pm if you can help cheers PAUL-s
  17. Emmett Gardner....superb and to have its day!!

  19. CLASS!!
  20. Also the story wasn't just about the casino, I felt that was just the backdrop (excuse the pun) to the story of four different people and their relationships with each other and their outlook on the future. Absolutely spot on!!
  21. Dont think saying some is an "arse licker" for liking the play is very articulate and is, to me, VERY condecending! And, im sorry, slagging off something " a play is cheesy' without articulating why, is very ignorant, prejudice and condescending! Critisizing the play without seeing it is the ULTIMATE in condescending! A forum is about articulating a point and as you say, it does require intellect. I respond to people with the same respect that they show me.....like life. PAUL-S
  22. Paul, I read the posts, and dont think Pete was having a dig. Its just a misunderstanding. point taken mate...
  23. Thanks Mark....as you know, it was a labour of love. Not, a commercial venture. I wont be reviving it in 10 years, if I have no career. !! Talking of which, im going to log off, to give our theatre critics Ken and Derek a chance to prepare their 'informed' critique of the play. Should be an articulate, informed, soulful and riviting read! Bit like the 'Chas and Dave' of the arts world. Gertcha! Later....
  24. ...could of stopped at "dont write". Still waiting for that theatre critique my slimfast friend!
  25. ....ok Pete, had'nt been on for a day, so was responding chronologically to peoples opinions. My mistake! The fact is I lost LOADS of money on the play. FINE. I did'nt do it as a financial enterprise....just something I wanted to do from my 'soul' and for the 100,000 people that saw it, I did'nt get any bad feedback! I also let in loads of people free. I was approached to do shirts, badges , all sorts of sh__t, BUT, I had and have no interest in that. A major soul label screwed me over on the soundtrack. When I had no money to go in to rehearsal, I did'nt see Wigan council, Russ or Anyone coming to help. That was my choice. But, im not going to let a few miserable, uninformed and bitter peolple slag of ALL that work, when they did'nt even see it! Paul-s
