  3. BRILLIANT TUNE!
  4. Had my FREE ANGELA LP stolen at the Lifeline weekender.......dirty b-s---ds!
  5. WOW...this is Pure 'Contact Morris' a style rarely seen nowadays.....very similar to the 'Battle Rock' of the b'boy scene.........truly awesome.... You could meet new people at soul nights with this one.
  6. Top.....b-jazz (79/80) meets stomping, meets hip hop...meets nicholas brothers on Tuinol!!
  7. cruel!!
  8. YES, its gone to a BIG ROOM dj. So people will be able to make their own decisions.!!
  9. WELL, its gone.....!! Thanks to all who showed interest. If the guy doesn't collect it off me on Friday, I will contact the other bidders. In case your wondering, Pete-S ended up paying a couple of grand for it!!
  10. After a copy of CHIC CARLTON - YOU LOVE KEEPS HAUNTING ME PM if you have one to trade or sell thanks PAUL-s
  11. Had it two and a half years, built it up from nothing to a small following and there is lots of other stuff im after.....Perhaps needs to be played out in bigger venues?! Also, i wouldn't mind dancing to it myself and Need the money!!
  12. Bloody weird record. You can have mine for £30.
  13. Felix Harris - You Got Me Walking In The Night Harmonics - Be Your Man pm please if you can help thanks PAUL-s
  14. IT always does the business when played out! ALWAYS.
  15. Bless em. They hate it when they dont know something...
  16. Could'nt give it away last couple of years.....loads turned up. £40 is about right
  17. The main thing being the sound quality on a lot of boots. Frankie Crocker is a good example. The boot sounds bloody awful! Often, you can tell when a dj starts playing boots, just by the change in sound quality!! Craaaaaap! But, I guess its up to the venue and the policy. As long as its advertised as bootleg vinyl.....I pay £10 or whatever to get in a venue to hear original vinyl. NOT for the plush surroundings and high level comfort of the venue!
  18. Surely that is IMPOSSIBLE? What fool would do such a thing? Totally Unacceptable!
  19. JOAN, if your reading this, can you (if you get time) post a clip that has til the end of the break please.! It will go this week as I have had several v temping offers!
  20. Great tunes both of them and the b side 'Somewhere'!!
  21. Maybe if it went to the break (latin) the difference would be more clear. Cant recall the Snake too clearly as it used to raelly 'hiss ' me off Cajun Hart....lyrically, I guess, it has that surreal aspect to it! A bit more expressive than 'left right, hup two three four,' anyway. Wade in the water...I just cant hear it? Guess I will put on my wellies and have another listen!
  22. Hes an average type guy mik, with average type taste. Its fair enough...each to his own. Anyway, I have played it a while back at middleton, Wigan, Perth and Melbourne (northern events , main room) and it packed the floor. Like 'Marchin' hey !! ....."left, right, hup two three four" ..brilliant soulful lyrics those , not like that George Hobson eh! But, I agree with you Mik , im a part of the 'soul' scene, rather than the traditional Northern scene.
  23. If he had any sense he would do a straight swap. Capree is rarer......Cant believe old Smithy thinks its crap. But, im not a part of the good old 'stompin' northern scene. Is Mr Z away, cos he has some swaps I want!? Pete S did'nt elaborate on that classic tune 'Marchin' ....!!! HA! HA! Not even a slave type song. Just pure sh...te! Hope your well mate.
  24. Yes, but thats from someone who thinks GEORGE HOBSON is not a good tune!! And thats one of my favourite all timers. So we obviously come at soul music from different angles. Thats whats so great about this varied scene! Different tastes Pete!HA!.... Wade in the water? Had to re-edit Pete. Just saw you trying to sell 'Marchin' by Camp?? Bloody atrocious record. As someone already said, a load of old tosh. Come on! p.s. Im only having a laugh, before anyone jumps in!
  25. GOOD DESCRIPTION...... It really is an underground tune, because me and Mik dont trawl the big venues hammering it, I think. Its been looked after and I certainly dont play it every time I dj....People visiting DDA or when they heard DDA at the old 'soul or nothing', or people who hear Mik play, are the fortunate few to get a listen and dance to it!! Infectious!
