I was DJing last night and Trickster passed on the news - just shock (even though I was only a very occational visitor). Gutted I didn't go more often - just assumed it would ALWAYS be there. Latter on I played Spyder Turner and both of us said - never gonna hear it at the 100 Club again. Very sad. Gonna miss the feeling you get walking down the stairs, hearing the music, magic. Deep breath. Still it's closer to home now so I've no reason not to make it much more regularly. And I will. Onwards and upwards indeed. -
It was a massive record on the 80s mod scene - don't let that put you off though I did a night called Boogaloo #3 at Xmas playing quite a lot of this boogaloo type stuff along with some northern, latin and funk - Dean Ruland, Eddie Piller and Si Cheeba joined me on the decks. Cracking night, but then I would say that. Oh and Andy Smith included it on one of his Document mix compilations.

Hi Ernie I was a soulful house DJ at the time and it's definitely not a rare record but is a stone cold classic. Came out both US and UK Atlantic and you could even buy it in HMV, etc at the time.
