  1. First heard 'I get carried away' at Ady's Yarmouth weekender early '91 I think, played on the radio show by Geoff Whitfield if I remember right - loved it from the first few bars and still love it now - didn't think at the time about it being blue eyed, just a great record. RIP Jerry, a talented guy
  2. Fabulous that - what a treat to see MJ, and for me the best version of a great song, love it

  10. Thanks for looking - pm if interested. UK special delivery post £9, overseas to be confirmed. No hassle refund if not 100% happy, but buy with confidence as I am a careful grader as per my feedback Johnny Mae Matthews - I have no choice (Big Hit) VG £900 SOLD £875 Lots of light marks under a strong light and plays with a bit of light crackles in places, but strong and loud and sounds awesome both at home and out Wasn't sure where to price - Pete Smith had one last week graded VG+ for £1200 and the soundfile didn't sound much different to this copy, so I think £900 a good price, but happy to listen to sensible offers
  11. Yeah very interesting, quick check on Discogs shows all promos / no issues, though DS himself on here didn’t say it was promo only? I was wondering if it picked up many radio or club plays at time of release (if as you say it was released - if not there must have been a fairly large number of promos produced as not hugely hard to find?) I spent the whole of summer 1988 hammering NIACI on a cassette tape everywhere I went - must have played it hundreds of times and still love it now
  12. Just came across this great thread - anyone know if Darryl still contactable? Would love to ask a couple of questions myself

  20. Just fantastic, I came late to Toast and it's sometimes too surreal for me but the best bits are some of the funniest TV I've seen for ages
  21. Not at all, just funny that we like the same genre of music but might rate records quite differently
  22. Taste is a funny thing isn't it, I think it's superb
  23. Great article Jordan - what's the other version though? I only know the Ree Flores
  24. Saw the film ages ago as well but this is five stars in its own right for me
