3 of my favorites from perhaps my favorite label, although I prefer the black Chess label the best.
-
2 white demos I recently purchased blind and am quite fond of:
Garnet Mimms - Prove It To Me (UA)
Erma Franklin - Don't Wait Too Long (Epic)
-
I'd like to know the answer to this too.
I have an Orange one, but seen more yellows on Collectors Frenzy and Popsike.
-
such a brilliant label. the white demos look great.
unfortunately, living in the state next to new jersey has not made finding 45s on this label any easier....
-
Brilliant tune.

When I ship a 45 to the UK, it's generally from $4.75 to $5.50 postage.
That includes 2 pieces of cardboard and a cardboard mailer.

I got a table at a local record fair this weekend to sell off some LPs from various collections I'd bought, and came away with the following 45s:
JJ Barnes - Poor Unfortunate Me / Ring
Barbara Mason - Don't Ever Go Away / Arctic demo
(already have a stock copy, but couldn't resist the demo)
Marvin Gaye - Take This Heart of Mine / Tamla demo
(in the Tamla sleeve couldn't pass this one up either)
Brightlights - Motor City Funk / Silver Fox demo
and
Wild Ones - Bowie Man / UK Fontana
beautiful copy of this UK freakbeat 45, which I was shocked to bump into....)
+ about 15 others

Seeing how I live close to Trenton, NJ, I'm trying to get a better understanding of the soul labels that were from that city.
One of the labels I've seen on e-bay is Lucky Lou. Can anyone help with a discography for this label? Here's what I've managed to find:
#812
The T.N.J.'s 'Two Girls' / 'I Got It So Good'
#813
Natural Facts ' What Time Is It?' / 'Girl Don't Cry'
Any others?
Any details on this label would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

I used to be much more obsessive about it, but in addition to soul and funk records, I also collect USA releases of UK mod / freakbeat / psych 45s. Now I just keep an eye out for the ones I don't have.
Also used to collect 50s thru 70s jazz 45s with a passion, but these days, it's only the small label stuff that really catches my attention.
