  1. I've never shipped a 45 to the UK or Eurpoe that has cost more than $6.00. They are either using an on-line USPS calculator incorrectly, or they are trying to make some money on the shipping.
  2. Brilliant, brilliant tune...although I can't seem to find a copy. What's the going rate for this?
  3. Collins and Collins - 'Top of the Stairs' (A&M demo) $4
  4. That Swan Silvertones 45 is one of my favorite purchases from last year.
  5. mca, you are correct.....thank you sir.

My e-bay screen name is fonkysoul, if you would like to check my feedback. Any questions, please ask. Midwest Franchise 'I'll Be Around / I'll Be Around" MCA demo 45 $175 Visually, 45 is EX. Both sides play with a little noise at start, which virtually disappers once the vocals kick in. One side VG at start, then VG+. The other side VG+ at start, then EX. Four Below Zero "My Baby's Got E.S.P" / Gentlemen and their Lady "...Like Her!" Roulette 12" $75 SOLD Visually, Four Below Zero is EX, while flip side is VG+ (some light marks). Four Below Zero side plays EX. Gentlemen side plays EX- due to one pop about 1/3 the way through the tune.

  8. here's a couple that I bought in 2006 that really got under my skin. mostly cheapies. Little Dooley - It's Got to be Now or Never John Gary Williams - Just Ain't No Love (Without You Here) Carla Thomas - I've Fallen In Love (With You) Steve Parks - Still Thinking of You Kelly Brothers - Crying Days Are Over Let's hope there's many more in 2007!
  9. Had this tune in my head for the last 2 weeks, and I have 2 questions: a. Is there any difference in recordings between the US (Cat) and UK (President) release? b. Anyone have a soundclip of this? The one on Soulclub is not working for me. Thanks.
  10. Happy Holidays + New Year to everyone.
  11. probably Chess. I have such a soft spot for the label.
  12. that bobby powell is very nice. right onto my wants list. thanks for posting it up.
  13. "Many will be originals, you will need to make a decision based on the photo." That has to be one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever seen on e-bay.
  14. enjoying this. thanks for sharing.
  15. first soul 45: maybe 4 Tops - I'll Turn to Stone last soul 45: Kelly Brothers - Crying Days Are Over
  16. 'On the Brink' by Sounds Incorporated got a US release. I believe it was on Imperial. Not sure about the Mike Vickers & Orchestra 45.
  17. some quality tunes posted up. nice to see that Barbara Acklin tune here, I think it's brilliant. I also recommend Joe Quarterman's 'The Way They Do My Life' on GSF. Great tough funker with some lovely strings to make it somewhat moody (for lack of a better word). Didn't know that Lionel Hampton, gonna have to keep an eye out for it.
  18. Groove In is an uptempo, almost funky tune. You can hear a sound clip of the first minute of it at funk 45.com
  19. Think this one's about 25 quid. Good tune.
  20. I received my copy of There's That Beat on Thursday, and have since been playing Carnival 45s + the first Kent Carnival CD and, while driving around to yard sales yesterday, Jackie Wilson's "Sweetest Feeling" again and again......
  21. 'Gotta Keep My Bluff In' bought it blind last year, maybe year before, amazing tune.
  22. Couple of tunes I've been spinning each night for the past few days: Miracles - Baby, Baby Don't Cry John Gary Williams - Just Ain't No Love Spencer Jackson Family - Bring Back Peace to the World Exits - Got To Have Money hope to have a few new ones this weekend......
  23. I was hoping someone would mention this tune. Great tune. I'm quite fond of "Helpless" these days, but it may be too funky for most folks.
  24. Love it. and always buying more.
  25. This link is not working. Interested in hearing this side if it can be sorted....
