  1. Zeke & the Setters were are the backing band on the Bonnievillies 'Get Ready' track. Fantastic group!
  2. CINDY & THE PLAYMATES - DON'T STOP THIS TRAIN - KEMP £280 Never see this one for sale. Two fantastic sides, female version of the Mark IV 'Gone' and a fantastic flip. Around VG in grading and plays great out, actual copy in video:

  6. I have an EX copy of this fantastic & rare double-sider. Haven't heard any mention of it on these forums previously and know that the record is in demand with sweet soul collectors for the 'As Long As You're Near Me' side - which is a great track. Flip it over and you have something spot on for the dancefloor, an uptempo cover of a northern classic, 'Get Ready' has a storming backing band with falsetto harmonies that reminds me of the Hopkins Bros. Haven't heard this played by anyone else so far and is on the same label as some other elusive 45s including the Jay Griffin 'Lucky Me'. Have a listen & see what you think, actual copy in Youtube videos... £300 SOLD

  10. BOTH SOLD Soul Searchers - Get That Church - Juggy Spiritual Four - If You Think Your God Is Dead - Sendus
  11. Dynamic Corvettes - Keep Off The Grass / It's A Trap - Ru-Jac VG+ £200 Honey & The Bees - Love Addict - Arctic VG / VG+ £195 Frankie Freeman - This Old Shack - Ghetto NM £250 Darondo - How I Got Over / Won't Your Love So Bad - Ocampo NM £280
  12. Rich Rosen on soul source, brilliant!
  13. Bonnievillie - As Long As You're Near Me / Get Ready - Now Records I've had this for a while and haven't heard mention of it or seen it mentioned on the forums. Are people familiar with these tracks? As far as I'm aware the Bonnivillie have two releases on Now records, the same label as the eulsive Jay Griffin amongst others. The A side is a fantastic sweet soul track backed by a funk flip, both do it for me. I mainly spin it for the funk track 'Get Ready', the uptempo back and falsetto harmony reminds me of the Hopkins Bros, think it's spot on for the dancefloor! Anyway thought I'd put out there for a chin wag, hope you enjoy!!
  14. Darondo - How I Got Over / Won't Your Love So Bad on Ocampo Progressive niter sound with an equally appealing flip. Bay Area Soul at it's best! NM £280
  15. VONCIEL MYERS - It Won't Be Easy / But I Still Love You on Gaynote Fantastic Sweet Soul!!! M- £270 SOLD
