Very good point local clubs are great for people having a get together at weekends without having to travel miles and miles it's better than watching strictly on a Saturday night, and remember most of the people that attend club do's are the same people that attend the bigger events and weekenders. The only problem imo is when there are two do's on in the same town on the same night.

I wonder of those that call them naff and cringe worthy because of how they dress and dance actually go up and tell them , or is it easier to sit there like Waldorf and Statler shaking heads and sn*****ing.

There is a bloke on Donny market [ the old part where the sheds are] sells military gear and he did have fishtail parka's I don't know the model types but may be worth a look if you are that way on market days only he's asking £120 so not cheap.

What a load of bo$$&cks this thread is, talk about "remember that time" some of these DJ's are so far wedged up their own backsides it makes me want to puke. Anyone with a half decent pile of tracks can DJ .

Yes of course it can, but if your at a do and all your getting is stuff that's not to your taste, then 30 mins is just about enough , weekenders are perfect venues for longer spots and something new.

And that's part of the problem, the [ I know best mentality ] you may think it's shit but the "punter" who's asked for it likes it, and why lie to them? The people that turn up make the do, the dj can either make it a good one or a waste of time, treating them like muppets doesn't help.

Hearing something new, great but if you don't like it your stuck with it, 30 mins is enough, seen too many ego's when in reality they are just playing stuff they like and think everyone else should like it to.

I wont bid on any record above £2.50 p&p and I think that's too steep, as for the ok feedback it's probably just laziness I wouldn't get too worked up about it.
