Like everyone else I'm shocked to hear the sad news about Trev. My condolences to Mandy and family.

As someone who has traded abroad as long as I've been self employed, (25 years) Paypal is a bit of a godsend. Easy, fast payment. Ok, you have to pay a small % but I'd rather make a £100 sale losing £4.00 than not make the sale. If you want an expensive way of taking credit cards, try Worldpay, it cost me more to use thier service than I made. Some people just want something for nothing it seems.

The bass riff of 'All your Goodies' reminds me of this which is the kinda dance tempo I like.

If you had stayed with it Mikey he did add "but they can still move". I thought he came across pretty respectful of the current scene. I saw her in Swindon in the early 90's and her voice was pants so didn't bother to leave the soul casino to watche her at Goodwood. Ann Sexton on the other hand....what a voice!!

Off the top of my head Anne Sexton sang 'You've been gone too long', 'I'm his wife (and your just a friend)' and 'I believe in miracles.' Joe sang 'Subway Joe' 'Gypsy woman' and The lord's prayer.....

Me too! Not been to a festival since 1977. Got 2 weekend tickets (for me and my sis) + camping + car parking for £150 off ebay last night. Result cos if i'd have gone through the official website it would have cost about £305! Really looking forward to Joe Bataan!

The problem is Simon, if a film doesn't use attention engaging artistic license, you end up with a documentary. I went to see 'Nowhere Boy' the story of John Lennon's adolescence recently and I thought it an excellent film but I couldn't tell you if it was historically correct or not . I googled a review of the film and according to the reviewer, there were some exaggerations but these were in some of the personal relationships rather than historical facts. As a film, Northern soul is bound to be full of minor inaccuracies, just hope that the dancers are not heading off to Wakefield Casino. P.S I tackled some American's about U-571 film and their answer was it was just a film. I replied, how would you feel if we made a film about how the British were the first people to land on the moon. They then saw why I was so miffed.

Personally, it's the tune that hits that part of the brain that sensual sex, fabulous food and Northampton Town scoring a 92nd minute winning goal does. Sometimes it may be an old favourite, it may also be a tune that is 'love at first hear', but whatever, you want to interperate that love, that spine tingling rush on hearing said tune by dropping everything and just dancing for the sheer joy of it all. Of course, and happily, we all have different tunes that call us to the dancefloor. So in answer to the question Miss Wasperella, it's the tune itself, although experiencing other people enjoying dancing to a tune can elevate it to a status it may not otherwise have enjoyed if just played at home.
