  1. Further to my previous post, have just been into the sounds section and yes, I can get the tunes to play, but try as I might, I can't download any. Any suggestions gratefully received!
  2. Hi Trev, I run the same system/software as your good self and I've had the same problem. OK, it might be that I'm a techno thickie and I've only had this Imac 3 months so I'm still on a huge learning curve (my previous machine was bought in 96 so I've loads to learn!) I did download a track from one of the forum (Never Learned to dance Harvey Averne Dozen 4) and it's appeared on my desktop as a Quicktime Movie. Any advice how I can convert it to an Itune?? Cheers
  3. Once again, I thank you Frank M for putting me straight!
  4. I saw it (still waiting for Northampton Town on cult heroes). Apparently, the director of Saturday Night Fever (whose name escapes me) visited the Casino and the film is based on the ol' place. When I was at Birmingham Poly (79-81) I shared a house with a bloke from Wigan and he hated Northern Soul (and I wasn't into it then if the truth be known ). He reckon's the Casino was knocked down to make way for the only ring road in the country that would have gone straight through the middle of town! I think they are still waiting. We were both huge football fans. His main team was Liverpool and Wigan Ath were his second team. My main team was, and still is Northampton Town and I also used to watch Irthlingborough Diamonds. Little did we think back then, that both teams, who at the time were non-league would both be league teams a couple of decades later (Irthlingborough as Rushden & Diamonds). Some people Cobblers fans would argue that Diamonds will always be non-league.
  5. Of course FrankM, that should have been KFC! The Crown and Anchor pub on the crossroads of Irthlingborough Road and The Embankment in Wellingborough usuaully play Motown and the better known N.Soul tunes and if they ent, the landlord will happily put some on. Good place for a pre Embankment warm up pint!
  6. Yis Baz, although it wasn't as exotic as the Algarve. In Burger King, just off the M1 near Nottingham. We were on our way, with 1,000's of other Cobblers fans, to stuff Hull City and had stopped for brekky and the tunes were bangin out of BK but KTF next door was strangely silent.........Want to go to a soul do there and then but would have missed famous Cobblers victory.... Also heard a top tune while shopping in Wal-Mart in Albuquerque last Oct. Can't remember what it was....too much beer at the weekend! Don't suppose you got drunk eh? You and the Rushden soul rabble?
  7. Hey, stop talking about me like I'm not here! Actually, I'm a nose picker.........
