  1. PS, I don't have a problem with it personally
  2. Well without stirring it up, i've seen first hand use of this by some well known DJ's, who by the way will remain nameless
  3. Superb Pete, is it the Magnetics?
  4. Defo agree Pete
  5. F@@@ me Pete, that was quick!!
  6. Whats the verdict on DJ's playing newly cut acetates from unreleased tracks on CD, should it be allowed
  7. Thanks headsy, Manship's got one for 20 but there's a few guy's from the US I deal with will be getting back to me, they said 8-10 dollars maximum, if not got i'll try Rob
  8. Top tune John, already got the bloodhounds out looking for it
  9. Magical!, this old mod has hairs on the back of his neck standing up after listening to that!
  10. Well guy's and gals, did or have you ever strayed away from your beloved soul?, say in the 80s when the scene was quiet, tell the truth now! :secret:
  11. Yeah Brian, how good were those sounds!, Sam and Dave were hero worshipped by me back then, check out I Thank You from 67, their best IMO, then on to the Tamla thing, sometimes I think it was all just a dream but 40 years later here I am writing about it, incredible
  12. I see it's a 7" Miff, have'nt seen one of those, mines a 12 with 3 tracks, wish I could get a soundbite of it for you but don't have mp3 player
  13. Being an old fart on this site for me it was Sam and Dave~Hold On I'm Coming or Isley Bros~I Guess I'll Always Love You back in 65, ouch! am I that old
  14. Does your copy have the matrix number as 12BRW 223,?, mine has and its got about 10 seconds of talk, hardly rap, towards the end of it, i've had this 12" since 91 and have always rated it, in fact i've got two copies of it, one being mint the other vg++
  15. Don't agree its better than Maze, especially on the Live In New Orleans LP, better production tho and an allround super track from Mr Beverly, i've got a 12" of Donna Allen with remixes, a nice play early in the night at a do i'd think
  16. Ooops, we've all done that mate, if only I knew then ect ect! , but Manship had ( I think) a black issue of this on his auction some time ago, could be wrong tho, what a brilliant record
  17. Whats the going rate for this, issue and demo?
  18. Dunno yet, I was a bit dissapointed in his last US guide, i'm a bit of an anorak and like to see label scans, makes it all the more interesting particularly British releases, what I should have done with the US guide was wait to see Tim Brown's version which i'm told is superior and has sensible pricing
  19. Nowt wrong with your surname Kenneth my boy, but I like to keep it a big secret who I am! , question is, are you gonna buy the guide?
  20. Oh I speak the lingo allright, do you?, i've never heard anyone in 30 years of collecting records saying "any english", so spare me all your cobblers about the Falkland Islands ect Kenny boy, and with a surname like yours you should be backing me up, not having a dig
  21. No your not Vinnie, I sometimes wonder the same things myself, if i've been to a Kev Roberts do i'd say to myself god he must be rolling in it, but just think what it would cost to run it, on the vinyl front I don't have a politically correct attitude to someone playing the odd re-issue or boot just as long as its not all night, CD's are a definate nono, but if your in a modern room, which i'm never then some tracks are only available on CD so thats they're perogitive, I think we all think that way sometimes although I don't think many people who use these pages would admit it, sometimes its hard to put these questions out of your head, especially if the night your at is crap
  22. ...And please Spanner..its British..not English
  23. Hope it has some label scans, makes it all the more interesting but must cost a fortune to produce, at least someone has answered my recent post on this subject without the usual low brow answers
